I am Licensed Clinical Social Worker, licensed by the State of Oregon. I earned my Master of Social Work degree from the University of Washington School of Social Work.

I am here to offer you support and healing during life's good and rough times. I currently only see clients through telehealth. After experiencing a traumatic event are you feeling isolated with the overwhelming negative beliefs you hold about yourself and the world? Do you feel exhausted having to remain on guard and aware of your surroundings? I specialize in working with individuals who experience PTSD symptoms including exposure to workplace violence. I thrive to provide a safe space where you can process your emotions and thoughts while maintaining authenticity.

I enjoy working with adults, on issues including life transitions, parenting, identity formation, and trauma work. I believe that we each have a story with a unique perspective and voice. I enjoy working with people as they come back to a place of joy and fulfillment after an experience that has left them emotionally tired.

As a supportive therapist I am dedicated to helping people achieve their goals, enabling them to make important changes in their lives to improve their relationships, reduce anxiety, stress and depression. I offer a diverse approach to therapy to meet the needs of each individual, couple or family I work with and am committed to providing the essential support, compassion and empathy that they need to restore their sense of self and improve personal happiness, self esteem and self confidence.

Many of my clients would agree that what they look for in a counselor is someone who "has been there themselves." They look for someone that has the education and experience to successfully assist them. I have that combination of personal experiences and educational background. Life can be difficult and overwhelming for all of us at times. And finding help can be another added challenge when you aren’t sure what you need. We can figure that out together. Therapy is a space that helps you understand what is important to you while being able to process your feelings and express yourself freely. It’s an opportunity to focus on your needs and the areas in which you would like to see change. Focusing on yourself and your wants, we will work together to find calm and direction.

When working with clients, I see people as unique individuals who are trying to find their own meaning for their lives and a purpose in life. Through therapy we can learn so much about ourselves and our goals which we might not even be aware of up to this point. Part of my belief in therapy is centered in the idea that each person is capable of reaching their desired self or achieving self actualization. I believe individuals and relationships are trying to find their best possible versions of self. In my practice I emphasize promoting communication and emotional awareness.

I believe that every person has the ability to heal and lead satisfying and fulfilling lives. Everyone does the best with what they have and that life presents significant challenges and all of our behaviors makes sense in context. Problems do not exist within one person but are the result of a person’s context, family or relational systems, circular patterns, external systems, and learned behaviors that once had a functional purpose but no longer do. I consider health to be the culmination of mental, physical, spiritual, and relational states, and I will work from this inclusive and holistic perspective.

I provide play therapy and counseling for children and adolescents as well as their parents and families. I also provide therapy for individual adult Clients. It has been my joy to walk with Clients towards their personal therapeutic goals for wellness and mental health with empathy and insight for over 21 years in the behavioral health field. My therapeutic focus is to compassionately assist you in identifying your strengths and current developmental processes and how various internal thought patterns, events, or choices might be interfering with your present wholeness and ability to experience life to the fullest.

It is hard to share your life story with just anyone, but be rest assured that you will be treated with the utmost respect in my care. Having a trusting relationship with your counselor is one of the most important aspects of counseling effectiveness and something you can count on when working with me! My focus is strength based individual, couple, and family counseling. I see healthy relationships with self and others as the foundation to well being.

During these challenging times, I am here to offer my support and help individuals make sense of their world. My aim is to equip them with new tools to cope with struggles, process complex issues, set healthy boundaries, and identify what brings them happiness. I specialize in helping people with bereavement, complex grief, depression, relationships, and anxiety.

My clinical framework is rooted in attachment theory, which reiterates the delicate nature of the relationship between mother and baby. This relationship is integral to everything in our world and yet we often trivialize this relationship and assume that if there is a happy, healthy baby, then our mothers should remain perfectly aligned. The truth is, we know that the journey of motherhood is far more complex and intertwined, than how society portrays it.

I have served in the mental health field for nearly two decades, assisting countless people overcome challenges and lead more fulfilling lives. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Master Addiction Counselor assisting. My practice is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and other evidence - based interventions. I also use EMDR to assist clients experiencing the emotional and physical impact of traumatic events.
