I firmly believe that growth has two paths. To truly flourish, one must balance a desire for change with a true willingness to accept oneselve for who you are. A treatment that embraces this idea is Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and it's the core philosophy I use with my patients every day. In treatment, DBT concepts focus on changing things that are getting in the way of living the life you want, while accepting yourself unconditionally. The focus is to develop a life worth living. My program offers a full finality DBT which includes individual therapy, group skills training, and phone consultation.

My name is Lisa Bettis and I've been a licensed clinical social worker for over 20 years. My approach is to listen with compassion and understanding and with the knowledge that when someone takes the step to come to therapy, they do so from a position of strength. Understandably, it can also be very uncomfortable to divulge so much about yourself to a stranger, and with that, I honor and acknowledge that you have taken that step.

I provide a supportive and compassionate environment to give my clients space to process past trauma, current stress, and anxiety about the future. My practice integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Polyvagal Theory, mindfulness training, and Eye Movement Reprocessing and Desensitization (EMDR). Using these frameworks we will examine how past experiences impact your current functioning. We will identify traumatic experiences, dysfunctional thoughts and destructive behavior patterns. Then use EMDR and talk therapy to shift the beliefs that reinforce these habits to relieve psychological and emotional suffering.

As a therapist, I specialize in working with highly sensitive individuals, those eager to explore spirituality in depth, teachers, creative minds, and individuals striving to enhance their roles as partners in relationships. My core therapeutic approach is rooted in mindfulness, shaped by my intensive training in a Buddhist Monastery where I honed my meditation skills, and embraced prolonged periods of introspective silence. These experiences have equipped me with the tools to guide others towards a space of joyful self-discovery, facilitating the germination of authentic desires.

Hi, I'm Vanessa (they/them), and my practice centers gender identity and exploration, sexuality, polyamory, and religious trauma. I often work with queer and trans folks navigating difficult family dynamics or working through barriers to accessing gender-affirming care. I practice within an intersectional framework, seeking to hear and understand your lived experiences. My own lived experience as a queer person and an immigrant influences my practice. I maintain a deep curiosity toward our systems and ways of being, and this leads me to constantly question societal structures that oppress, restrict, and exclude.
