I focus on treating adverse experiences like childhood
sexual abuse
& incest, complex trauma/grief, dissociation, motherhood/birth initiation, and persistent health conditions.
I invite you to a safe and held space where transmuting pain and suffering into embodied medicine is the natural human experience. As a relational and earth-conscious therapist, I believe alchemy is human nature. I specialize in guiding people through fear and loss, dissociation, grief, and trauma. My approach is holistic and multidimensional, as I weave ancient philosophies, energetics, and metaphysics with modern quantum, epigenetic, and neurobiological sciences. I believe all ways we have adapted to survive are gifts we can creatively embrace.

I specialize in working with women from diverse backgrounds who struggle with maintaining satisfying and fulfilling relationships, establishing healthy work-life balance, their sexuality, low self-esteem, self-sabotage, PTSD, shame, anxiety, depression, and general life dissatisfaction, and women who have experienced
sexual abuse
and/or violence.
Accepting new adult women clients. I'm a licensed professional counselor who is currently seeing clients one-on-one via teletherapy and in person at my Sellwood office. My clients tend to be hard workers who their loved ones see as self-sacrificing. These women tend to overextend themselves, become burned out, and subsequently struggle with their physical and mental health. I have a passion for helping these clients rebalance their priorities, set healthier boundaries, learn more about themselves, and communicate their needs more effectively, to help them move toward greater life satisfaction and emotional well-being.

Do you feel there isn’t enough time in the day? Or your world runs on chronic stress? Maybe you’ve noticed these feelings and have even tried ways to challenge them. Jumped into yoga, didn’t work. If you find yourself saying yes, then you're looking at the right profile. Let me be your guide to balance and mental wellness.

I specializes in working with gender/LGBTQIA+ issues, depression, anxiety, trauma, incest and childhood
sexual abuse
survivors.
I am here to help my clients figure out how to build safety and security back into their lives after living through traumatic experiences. In my perspective, we are all living with trauma and this world was not built for us to heal from it. This makes it one of the most challenging things to be actively working towards healing from trauma and living your life. It is my goal to create a space where healing is not just possible, but probable. I am here to help people figure out how to create the life they want after living through traumatic experiences. Together we will chart a course that feels both achievable and supportive.

How do therapists treat sexual abuse?
A good therapist will be nonjudgmental and possibly demonstrate active listening, repeating back what the client says to show that they have understood. These skills allow people to feel comfortable discussing their traumatic experiences openly. Some important treatment goals are to restore a sense of safety and to rebuild confidence. In addition to working one-on-one with the patient, a therapist might bring in supportive family members to assist the client.
Do you have to talk extensively about sexual abuse in therapy?
Survivors frequently find it difficult to describe what happened to them out loud. They can even still be in a state of denial if the sexual abuse occurred recently. It is important for survivors to acknowledge that what happened isn’t their fault and to challenge and reappraise any unhealthy feelings or thoughts as they arise. Art therapy and play therapy are useful non-verbal means of communication for some survivors.
How long does treatment for sexual abuse take?
Recovery from sexual abuse can be a long and difficult process. Some survivors are able to move on naturally on their own, given time, while others require the guidance of a trained therapist. Therapy needs vary and can range from a few sessions to months or even years. Healing from sexual abuse takes time, and everyone’s journey will look a little different.
Can trauma symptoms caused by sexual abuse come back after treatment?
As occurs in many cases of trauma, survivors of sexual abuse may experience PTSD-like symptoms long after the abuse has ceased or after an initial round of treatment has occurred. In such a case, there is evidence that prolonged exposure therapy is a useful treatment for survivors, and may be more efficacious than supportive counseling alone. While triggers may continue to cause distress, the idea is that, with time and repeated exposure, their power will fade, allowing survivors to move on with their lives.
