We all want similar things: love, respect, understanding, empathy, dignity, support, belonging, & opportunity. Often, it is difficult to find people that hold space for another's whole-self & experiences. When differences in culture, identity, & life experience become an additional barrier to seeking help, gaining the coping & resiliency skills that are applicable to a unique experience can seem unattainable. Trauma, stress, & crisis compound these difficulties, calling for more of the social resources a person may not have access to. My goal is to help you navigate resourcing their needs and mental wellness.

I treat patients suffering from many issues, including: depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction, low self-esteem, gender and cultural identity concerns, parenting concerns, and divorce.
I offer psychoanalysis and psychoanalytic/psychodynamic psychotherapy. These are in-depth treatment approaches conducted in an attuned and empathic atmosphere, which can help you gain an understanding of yourself in new and deeper ways. This work can help you discover hidden obstacles, internal dynamics, and ways you are prevented from getting more joy and fulfillment from your life. Working with me can help you improve intimate relationships, expand your capacity for feeling and thinking more deeply, and elucidate how you may remain feeling stuck in self-defeating behaviors, despite repeated efforts to change and grow.

Throughout life, unhelpful patterns, societal messages, trauma and oppressive systems may have promoted disconnection within yourself, in your relationships, and to nature. In sessions, I strive to guide you to a deeper understanding of yourself, your patterns and influences, so that you can move forward with more clarity and agency. I believe that through reflection, insight, and deepening connections both within ourselves and with others, we can achieve healing and more possibilities. I have a systemic and relational lens, and while I enjoy working with many populations, I specialize in working with couples and individuals.

The therapeutic relationship is a sacred space where a client feels safe enough to be vulnerable, to challenge deeply held patterns, and to begin the courageous work of transformation. My primary mission is to cultivate trust with every client I have the privilege of serving. I believe that trust is not given, but carefully and collaboratively co-created.

First and foremost, I want to acknowledge the courage it takes to start a journey towards greater wellness – I know that it is not easy! We all have experiences in life that shape the way that we experience the world, our relationships and ourselves – and some of these experiences can have long-lasting impacts on our ability to experience true happiness. As your therapist, I will be a compassionate, supportive and affirming partner in helping you to relieve the anxiety and distress created by these experiences and showing you the strength and potential that exists inside of you.

Hi, if you’re here, I’m guessing that either you or someone you know are struggling. Maybe you’re feeling sad, low, anxious, worried or lonely. It can be easy to imagine that things will never change- and so I really think it’s a big deal that you’re here. My name is Noa, and I’m a psychotherapist – but I’m also a person who has looked for therapists during my own hard times. Working with therapists who were not only trained and skillful, but also allowed their hearts to be accessed in their work has been healing. I offer that to you. I will listen deeply, honor your courage and intelligence, and fight for you. I am in your corner.

As a husband, friend, and family member, I have experienced first-hand the feelings of shame and frustration that can come from not meeting the expectations we have for ourselves. Depression, anxiety, and other mental health struggles can knock us down and make us question our self-worth, bringing on feelings of shame and discouragement. As a therapist, I am solution-oriented and strengths-driven. I believe that by setting and achieving small, attainable goals, you can prove to yourself that you are capable of making positive changes and will be able to embrace your own value as an individual.

If you’ve tried to speak up, only to be met with denial, blame, or gaslighting, you may be stuck in a cycle of hope and heartbreak. The good days offer a glimmer of change, but the bad days feel suffocating. This emotional rollercoaster is common in relationships with narcissistic individuals and it’s exhausting. You might be wondering: “Why do I feel so anxious all the time?” “Why does love feel so unsafe?” “Is there any way out of this without losing myself?” Healing Is Possible. You don’t have to keep living in fear or emotional chaos.

As a therapist, I believe in equality between myself and my clients. This
means I believe you are the expert in your lived experience and can teach me as much as
I teach you. I have expertise that may help you learn and change in your own healing path.
Equality also means that I am open to sharing about my life if it is helpful to building your
attachment, empathy, healing
We are all in a mixed up place these days. What we thought we knew, about ourself and our systems, are no longer true, if they ever were. Many of us are learning we are neurodivergent, have autoimmune disorders, feel new spiritual insights, and are ever changing.

Are you of Asian descent and working hard to navigate life between different cultures? Perhaps you are a helping professional supporting the BIPOC community? Do you find yourself feeling more stressed and worried in the recent months? If so, I may be able to help. In a culture where hard work and independence are highly valued and even esteemed, getting the support that we need can be hard. At Plum Blossom, we believe that a safe and welcoming community in which you feel seen and heard is instrumental for personal healing and growth.

We are all searching for ways to lead fulfilling lives, but sometimes we struggle to find the things that will help sustain us or the obstacles of life can begin to feel overwhelming. As a therapist, I help to identify the things that nourish each individual and act as a partner in learning strategies for moving through the difficult times. I strive to maintain empathy, compassion, and openness with each of the clients I work with and value a collaborative relationship that allows you to steer treatment in the direction most useful to you.
