You’re the one people count on. You show up, follow through, and hold it together, at least on the outside. But inside, you’re worn down. Burnout, imposter feelings, and chronic stress are taking their toll. Maybe it’s showing up in your body, pain, tinnitus, insomnia, panic attacks, or a quiet sense that something’s not right. You’ve learned to push through, even when it’s slowly breaking you. If you're carrying trauma or navigating racial identity and cultural expectations, asking for help can feel even harder. I’m here to help you move through what’s keeping you stuck, toward a life that feels grounded, aligned, and fully yours.

I provide a nonjudgemental space for clients to address anything you choose to bring to therapy. I work primarily with Narrative Therapy, which is a world view as much as it is a therapeutic approach. The Narrative approach puts your story at the center of the conversation. People in my practice are also seen through a multi-storied lens rather than a narrow singular story. I will have a friendly and laid back approach in our sessions. At the same time, I will also offer you direct feedback and honest observations. Mindfulness work, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Relational work are also important to me.

Do you ever feel like no matter how much you accomplish, it still doesn’t feel like enough? Maybe you’re tired of overthinking, saying yes when you mean no, or repeating the same patterns in relationships. On the outside, everything looks fine—but inside, you feel disconnected, restless, or unsure who you really are. Many of my clients come to therapy wanting to rebuild self-trust, release perfectionism, and feel at peace in their own skin. If that sounds familiar, you’re not alone—and you’re in the right place.

Do you ever notice yourself caught in cycles of overthinking or replaying the same worries over and over? Maybe you find yourself checking things, seeking reassurance, or needing situations to feel “just right” before you can relax or move on. These behaviors can be overwhelming and may make it harder to feel grounded or connected to yourself. With the right support, you can begin to find more peace, reconnect with your sense of self, and create space for thoughts and behaviors that truly support your well-being.

My theoretical orientation is rooted in Systems Theory and I utilize interventions from Family Systems Therapy, Internal Family Systems, CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, ARC, as well as Somatic and Mindfulness based psychotherapies.
I believe the role of a therapist is to be more than a reflective and empathetic companion in the client’s journey and must also incorporate directive approaches in order to alternate between being a companion and being a leader on that journey. Inherent in this belief is that clients are coming to therapy because they want something different than what they currently have. This can be as simple as a new perspective on a past or current struggle or as complex as a new skill set for managing and overcoming emotional, behavioral, cognitive, relational, or somatic patterns that have arisen in response to emotional distress.

I believe that my clients hold within themselves the key to healing and change, and it’s a privilege to collaborate with each of them in this process. I also believe it is important that clients come to therapy ready to do the work required to bring about their own healing. I work with clients experiencing OCD, phobias, anxiety, shame, co-dependence and other relationship challenges, LGBTQ+ issues, people-pleasing behaviors, life transitions, and more. I particularly enjoy working with OCD and young adults navigating the challenges of early adulthood. I also offer letter writing sessions for gender affirming procedures.

I am experienced in helping folks with trauma, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and life transitions.

I work under a humanistic lens and believe each person can be the change they want to see in themselves; sometimes we just need some help getting there.

Motivational Interviewing Therapists
How does motivational interviewing work?
Motivational interviewing aims to uncover a person’s internal motivation to change their life. Toward this end, the therapist listens, empathizes, and collaborates with the client based on their perspective; the therapist doesn’t adhere to a predetermined plan for change or impose their viewpoint on the client. Discovering an individual’s most important reasons for change, and guiding them to achieve those changes, can empower people to shift from ambivalence to action.
Is motivational interviewing evidence-based?
Yes, research shows that motivational interviewing can help treat alcohol and substance use — and in different ways such as reducing drinking, reducing resistance, and increasing the likelihood of staying in treatment. Motivational interviewing has also been shown to help people lose weight, adhere to medication regimens, improve diet for those with Type II diabetes, and improve healthy behaviors in children.
How long does motivational interviewing last?
Motivational interviewing is a short-term therapy that can last just one or two sessions. In some cases, motivational interviewing may be used in conjunction with longer-term therapies, but for most people, motivational interviewing is a brief intervention that aims to help patients understand their personal, specific, and internal reasons for changing their life.
What differentiates motivational interviewing from person-centered therapy?
In person-centered therapy, the individual is in the driver’s seat of the treatment process, creating space for them to trust their instincts and arrive at their own solutions. The two approaches are similar because motivational interviewing is also client-centered; however, person-centered therapy is more open-ended while motivational interviewing is somewhat more structured; the goal is to change, and the therapist helps the client specifically discover their internal motivations to modify their behavior.
