We will look at traditional counseling, various forms of energy psychology, energy healing, hypnotherapy , past life regression, counseling for grief, loss, and trauma, and other techniques under these broad headings.
My clients are high functioning individuals who want help getting unstuck in some area of their lives, are seeking direction, and want help in alleviating pain, whether it is physical, emotional, psychological, relational, or spiritual. It's not unusual for them to have tried different therapies before coming to me, and most find that the combination of approaches that I use creates a healing synergy that they have not found elsewhere. In fact, my business card says "Deep Healing for Body, Mind, and Spirit." See my website at kweymouth.com for details.

I use a modified cognitive approach mixed with hypnotherapy and complimentary alternative modalities to explore the inner you.
It doesn't interest me what you do for a living, how old you are, or how much money you have, whom you know or how you came to be here. I want to know what you ache for, and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart's longing..." ~~ from "The Invitation" by Elder Oriah Mountain Dreamer. I enjoy working with people who want to understand themselves in a deeper way, who want to uncover and heal the patterns of behavior that have kept them from living their dreams.

I utilize the tools and process of EMDR, hypnotherapy , Mindfulness, and Insight work in order to guide you to gain deeper self-awareness and insight, increase meaning in your life.
I work with highly sensitive people, people who are looking to expand and dive deeply into their spirituality, teachers, creative people and people who are seeking to be better partners in relationship. My primary training and personal practice stems from a mindfulness framework. After being trained in a Buddhist monastery to meditate, and to spend prolonged periods of time in silence with self, I’ve cultivated the tools to guide others into the same space of joyful fertile ground to plant seeds of your truest desires.

I offer Hypnotherapy as a tool for clients to access their subconscious mind, connect more deeply with their emotions, and gain insight into what prevents them from changing unwanted behaviors.
Do you feel as though you are your own worst enemy? When in the midst of a problem or stressful situation, does it seem like you make matters worse by being self-critical or saying self-defeating things to yourself? When we are going through something painful or difficult to accept, our internal dialogue sometimes becomes judgmental and self-critical, causing us to feel overwhelmed and doubt our ability to manage things on our own. Often we do not notice how the relationship we have with ourselves affects our ability to cope, solve problems, and live the life we want.

I invite you to a safe and held space where transmuting pain and suffering into embodied medicine is the natural human experience. As a relational and earth-conscious therapist, I believe alchemy is human nature. I specialize in guiding people through fear and loss, dissociation, grief, and trauma. My approach is holistic and multidimensional, as I weave ancient philosophies, energetics, and metaphysics with modern quantum, epigenetic, and neurobiological sciences. I believe all ways we have adapted to survive are gifts we can creatively embrace.

I draw on Process Work (also known as Process Oriented Therapy), Hypnotherapy and stress management to support change.
Sometimes, we want to make changes but struggle with unknown parts of ourselves that seem to stop us. Habits, life long patterns and unconscious beliefs can hold us back from living the life that we long for. It takes time and courage to examine our belief system and reach out for what we really want. As a therapist, I follow the process of each individual. Clients are viewed on a spectrum of health, rather than through a lens of pathology. This approach creates a very curious and creative focus that encourages growth at the client’s own pace.

I support families, couples, and individuals. Whatever the problem, challenge, trauma or pain, the power to change exists within you and your family. I believe that an effective therapist's job is to support a "shift," not to create it for you. Together, we can make progress toward your goals and desires. I am also trained and certified in hypnotherapy .

My practice is now mostly focused on Coaching and Hypnotherapy , especially Past Life Regression.
Most of us grew up learning who we were somehow wasn't quite okay. To cope and survive, we adopted a false self to gain the approval of others and minimize the pain we were in. Healing is the process of recovering the true self, so we can begin to live authentically and thrive. As you become aware of and reclaim the parts of yourself that you have repressed, numbed or disowned, you are able to move toward a deeper sense of self-love, awareness, personal empowerment, ease and integrity--internally, and in your relationships with others.

Along with talk therapy, I offer EMDR and Hypnotherapy , which can aid in (and often hasten) the healing process.
Your past is invading your present. Your emotions overwhelm you at times. Many of your relationships are unfulfilling - or outright painful. Your self-esteem is low to non-existent, and you often feel you aren’t good enough. Celebrating your successes is hard for you because you feel like you don’t deserve them. Your inner critic is your constant companion. And the worst part is: overcoming these obstacles seems like a huge mountain to climb. You don’t know where or who to go to for help. We all need connection more than ever right now. I’d love to help!

HypnoTherapy

How does hypnotherapy work?

Hypnotherapy works by using guided hypnosis to help you reach a state of focus and concentration through mental imagery and soothing verbal repetition. The state is somewhat like being absorbed in a book, a movie, or your own thoughts. You are not under a therapist’s “control,” but they can help you relax and turn your attention inward to discover the resources to achieve behavior change or better manage psychological concerns. Therapy sessions may involve guiding you through recognizing a problem, releasing problematic thoughts about it, and considering and accepting more productive alternatives before returning to normal awareness. Hypnotherapy is typically used by a therapist along with traditional forms of talk therapy. Eventually, your therapist can help you learn hypnotherapy techniques yourself so you can establish a stronger sense of control on your own in stressful or challenging moments.

Is hypnotherapy the same as hypnosis?

Hypnotherapy, which is sometimes called hypnotic suggestion, is a therapeutic technique in which a therapist uses hypnosis to help patients. It is not the kind of hypnosis portrayed in stage shows, or in movies or on television. You will not be unconscious or asleep during hypnotherapy, you will not lose control of yourself, your thoughts, or your free will, and you will be able to fully recall your experience. And while you will hear your therapist’s suggestions, it is always up to you to decide whether to act on them. Hypnosis by a trained mental-health professional is not a form of mind control, which is impossible to achieve anyway.

Can everyone be hypnotized?

The most common challenge of hypnotherapy is that as many as one in four people cannot be hypnotized. Brain imaging has confirmed differences in patterns of brain connectivity between those who respond to hypnotism and those who do not. Other people who could potentially be hypnotized may not respond to the technique because of their skepticism or resistance to entering a hypnotic state. If a therapist’s “post-hypnotic suggestion” is effective, it’s because they are suggesting something you want to achieve.

Does hypnotherapy work?

Through hypnotherapy, you can achieve changes that are real and sustainable. Like other talk therapy techniques, when hypnotherapy succeeds, it’s a case of mind over matter. Effective hypnotherapy involves self-healing because you access resources you need to change inside of yourself and learn how to tap into them whenever you need. Hypnotherapy has been shown to be an effective therapy for anxiety, phobias, stress, panic attacks, post-traumatic stress disorder, sexual dysfunction, and undesirable behaviors like smoking. It can be used to help improve sleep or to address relationship challenges, and to aid with pain management, digestive disorders, skin conditions, and the gastrointestinal side effects of pregnancy or chemotherapy.
