Couples Counseling Therapists in Portland, OR
Anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma can quietly shape relationships and self-worth.
Many people seek support when familiar ways of coping no longer feel sustainable. You may notice cycles of over-giving, self-criticism, or fear of loss that trace back further than expected. In a calm and steady space, we slow the pace, make room for complexity, and gently explore what is asking for attention, care, and understanding.

I focus on attachment and relationships, healing from complex trauma, and discovering your sexual self.
Once a safe space is created, we can begin to explore difficult topics. My role is to create a space/positive regard while offering feedback and insight on patterns that may be keeping you stuck. While we explore these hard topics, it is my job to keep the pace at a safe level, and bring in laughter, positivity, and reminders of all the strengths you hold.

I also work with clients navigating LGBTQ experiences, race-related stress, relationship challenges, and damaging relationship patterns.
We often seek therapy during times of transition, stress, relationship strain, or emotional overwhelm. Together, we can work toward clarity, relief, and a deeper understanding of what you’re experiencing. My role is to walk beside you with care, skill, and a clear plan for meaningful change. I use CBT, psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness, and attachment-focused work to support your growth. Over time, you can develop greater clarity, resilience, and confidence. You don’t have to do this alone—support is here.

My approach resonates with clients who are curious about themselves and others, who want to cultivate deeper and more intimate relationships and who are open to exploring frameworks of mental health beyond the medical model and psychiatry.
My practice is enriched by nursing, medicine, mindfulness, spirituality, psychology and at the core, nonjudgmental curiosity. I focus primarily on psychotherapy and offer some limited medication management. I hesitate to use the word "provider." I believe healing transpires collaboratively by cultivating a trusting client-clinician relationship.

I enjoy working with couples around sex therapy, communication issues, reconnection, imbalances in relational responsibility/load, and relationship or life transitions.
I draw from a variety of modalities, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Narrative Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). My therapeutic style is compassionate, collaborative, and non-judgmental. With humble curiosity, I aim to understand how contexts like culture, oppression, and family of origin influence you and your relationships.

I see myself as a relational therapist. Someone that is always looking into how our current and past relationships shape our lives. I enjoy working with couples and individuals. My intent is always to meet you with an open mind and a gentle heart; however, I believe that therapy is at times about accountability, too. Most importantly, I want my clients to have a place to land where, for just a small portion of their week, they feel seen and accepted for who they are and what they want to become. I especially like working with adults that may have suffered childhood trauma and help them understand the current impact it may have.

I currently have openings for short-term clients (individuals, relationships, and groups) needing support related to the effects of ADHD.
What matters most is that you find someone you can trust with your inner world. Whether you're navigating grief, trauma, relational wounds, or patterns that no longer serve you, you need someone who won't flinch when things get intense. You can expect to feel met quickly—there's an intuitive quality to how I track unspoken dynamics and what lives between the lines of what you're saying. At the same time, you'll experience clear boundaries, consistency, and a grounded presence that holds steady even when your process feels messy or overwhelming.

Whether you qualify for a diagnosis of ADHD or autism, or you simply recognize yourself in some of the characteristics, I can help you develop tools to embrace your emotions and build meaningful relationships.
I individualize the sessions to what it is you need most and work closely with you to process painful feelings and experiences as they arise. If white knuckling, self shaming, pulling yourself up by your bootstraps worked, you’d be “cured” a billion times over. It doesn’t. At least not for me or people whose brains are different. Our minds race and it feels impossible to turn off and rest. Sometimes we use substances or other behaviors in a harmful way just to get through the day. There’s more to life out there. A more peaceful and meaningful life is possible. We need to go deeper and get to the root of things. I’ll go with you.
