I primarily serve the Christian Community, people of color community (Blacks/African-American/Haitians/Afro-Caribbean, Interracial/Mixed Race/Multi-ethnic), as well as Caucasians, immigrants, refugees, and multicultural/multi-ethnic and interfaith couples.
Are you overwhelmed? Stressed? Are you struggling with thoughts that you find disturbing? Are you in need of hope, healing, and support? If so, I can help. I will help you identify your life's purpose/meaning, develop healthy coping skills as you grow in your relationships. Beside my professional background, I know firsthand the joy and challenges of raising a family, juggling multiple demands; and have experienced the loss of a child through both miscarriage and stillbirth. If you are looking for someone whom you can connect with on an experiential level, I am that therapist. I look forward to assisting you in your life's journey.

I facilitate over a dozen Christian recovery groups.
My passion is to help people rebuild their relationship with God; to thrive in sobriety. I have extensive experience with individuals that struggle with addictive and compulsive behaviors such as: sex, pornography, drugs, alcohol, codependent relationships, etc. Over the past few years, I obtained more specialized education to specifically assist with sex, pornography and lust addiction through the work of Dr. Patrick Carnes Ph.D; a pioneer in the field of sex addiction. His work combined with a method to heal relational/attachment wounds, called "IFS", is the best strategy that I have found for recovery.

I hold a christian worldview but out of respect I will not impose my beliefs onto my client, unless christian counseling is something you are also interested in.
My goal is to create a nonjudgmental, supportive safe space that will bring about new strength, growth and instill hope. I believe counseling is a process that provides insight in order to improve our lives. I also recognize everyone experiences events differently and therefore impacts everyone in their own way.

My services include Christian Counseling and Spiritual Direction care for individuals seeking a deeper relationship with God.
Limited space available. Welcome! Are you feeling weathered (anxiety, PTSD, Grief, Depression) by the storms of life? Storms are a great metaphor for life’s adversities, challenges, failures, and disappointments. Storms are something we don’t want to see or experience in our lives or nature. Storms put our faith and ability to survive to the test. We must remind ourselves, within the heart of the storm also lies the transformation.

As the lead psychotherapist of Glasshouse, a Christian born in Nigeria, I get it!
As a person, do you find yourself struggling to maintain a balance between fulfilling spiritual, cultural, familial and societal obligations? Do you feel like you have lost your sense of identity while juggling such obligations? In a world full of unrealistic and forced expectations, people often are accused of being rebellious, guilty or selfish when they choose to focus on themselves and their needs. Secretly battling and wounded, many people find themselves to be depressed, anxious, angry, disappointed and unfulfilled.

While I enjoy working from a Christian worldview, I am trained to offer counseling with or without faith integration.
If you’ve been stuck in old patterns, performing in relationships, or just feeling like something’s off but you can’t name it—you’re not alone. I help clients figure out who they are, understand where they came from, and start building a life that actually feels like theirs—connected, grounded, and real. As a clinician specializing in working with men, I help you address the negative patterns that are holding you back by uncovering the root issues and developing strategies for lasting change. Therapy doesn’t have to be about fixing you. It’s about helping you come back to yourself.

I provide individual and group online counseling for two specialties: eating disorders and Christian-based therapy.
Are you looking for counseling but don’t struggle with food or body image, I work with clients who are struggling with anxiety, issues specific to the BIPOC community, issues in motherhood, life transitions, and grief. I serve clients who do not fit into either of my specialties and recognize that each client has different needs for therapy.

Christian Therapists

Why is it important for a therapist to be culturally sensitive?

Therapists and clients don’t need to share the same belief system or background to be able to work effectively together, but a therapist whose training includes a focus on cultural competence may be better able to form a therapeutic bond with individuals from a range of backgrounds, as they will have experience in tailoring their approach to each client—and will be prepared to acknowledge and consider the effects of culture, religion, and other factors on each individual.

Why is it important to find a therapist sensitive to Christian values?

Each person brings a unique history and background to therapy, making it important to find a licensed therapist who is trained in a broad range of treatment modalities. In addition, for people who grow up in a faith tradition that strongly influences the way they conduct their everyday life, finding a therapist who understands or shares that background can ease the disclosure of sensitive information and facilitate the therapeutic process. For some clients, a Christian therapist is likely to incorporate faith-based principles into emotional healing techniques.

How do I recognize an effective Christian therapist?

Christian therapists are licensed mental health professionals—holding a master’s or doctoral degree in medicine, nursing, psychology, counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy—who are also familiar with Christian beliefs and values. They have an understanding of the importance that Christian principles play in the lives of individuals and families, which allows them to be especially sensitive to the kinds of struggles that can affect daily functioning. Like all effective therapists, a Christian therapist will have undergone training and certification in a variety of treatment modalities that help people through crises and enable them to master the challenges of life.

Why might someone feel comfortable with a Christian therapist?

While training, qualifications, and experience are always important, research has long established that a strong alliance between client and therapist is a major contributor to therapeutic success. An alliance is likely to be strengthened with a therapist who not only is responsive to questions and concerns but also shares a client’s faith and values. Sensitivity to spiritual matters as well as to everyday struggles can provide a welcome sense of safety and contribute to the bond between client and therapist, both of which support the therapeutic process.

Who is included in Psychology Today’s directory of Christian therapists?

The directory of Christian therapists includes professionals who have shared their background in their profiles. However, not all therapists choose to disclose this information, and they may not appear in search results for this reason. The directory also shows therapists who indicate that they have extensive experience working with Christian clients, regardless of their own background or religious affiliation.
