I help
women
and couples heal and thrive. Periods of relationship challenges, grief and loss, identity transitions, and emotional stress can lead us to feel lost and alone. These times come for us all and can be an invitation to tend unhealed wounds, uncover intuition, strengthen relationships, and make brave and compassionate choices toward a life you love. I help
women
to transform inter-generational trauma into wholeness and vitality, stay grounded through fertility challenges and new motherhood, and establish healthy boundaries and nourishing relationships.

women
and an intensive small group coaching program for that is for
women

You don't want to spend the rest of your life in therapy. You have goals and aspirations and you just need to get unstuck and out of the grip of anxiety, depression, or trauma. Your problems such as panic, worry, sleep disturbance, irritability, suicidal thoughts, angry outbursts, and/or poor concentration are causing untold consequences in your life. You are willing to dig deep and do the work, if just knew what to do and what would really work. You want to get rid of symptom and not just not just collect more coping skills. I can absolutely relate and am committed to helping you resolve these issues at the root.

My specialty is working with people in transition: career, gender, sexual orientation, life changes, aging, disabilities or medical concerns, losses, and more. I welcome
women
and clients who are neurodivergent, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, or otherwise "othered" or outcast. I completed post-graduate training in the diagnosis and treatment of autism and ADHD. I also assess for gender dysphoria and write gender affirmation letters using WPATH guidelines. Aside from all this, more generally I like to help people unpack and sort through their baggage, choose what to keep, repurpose, recycle, or burn, and then support them on their new adventures.

All of us face experiences in our lives where we can benefit from the support and connection that therapy provides. Scientific evidence demonstrates that a strong and consistent therapeutic relationship is restorative, healing and emotionally regulating. As a therapist, I believe in connecting with clients, human-to-human, and I regularly feel a deep sense of understanding for those with whom I work. There is so much noise around us that it is often difficult for us to hear our own truth. I offer a compassionate, heart-centered space to help you to deeply trust your own inner strength and core values.

As an immigrant and Asian
woman
, I believe I can better understand peoples’ struggles when they are from a different cultural background.
Life is full of struggles and surprises, and we often feel trapped and have no hope. It is common to have negative thoughts and beliefs, to experience lack of motivation and burn out when we try to move through our life. Struggling with your thoughts and feelings can really affect your daily life. “It is okay to not feel okay!” Emotions and thoughts are two very complicated things and a lot of the time they tangle together. With patience, empathy, authenticity, and wanting to discover depth with the client, people can see more clearly from their past and have a goal for the future.

Supporting un or newly diagnosed Neurodivergent adults understand how Autism, ADHD, and/or cPTSD impacts their daily life. I specialize in working with
women
as they are often mis-diagnosed, gaslit, and generally have more difficulty navigating neurodivergence in our society. Throughout our work we hold space for the pain and hurt that comes with having invisible disabilities and how you were treated up to this point in your life by society. My work focuses on helping you understand your system so you can navigate in a way that includes all of the beautiful and wonderful ways your brain works & find your own path in society.

My clients come to me for a variety of reasons and with a variety of questions like, “How did I get here?” “Why am I in this relationship?” “Why do I keep doing this?” or “Why can’t I move forward?” Often, they are dealing with multiple roles and high expectations of themselves. The issues facing each person are unique, but my clients come with earnest interest in making changes and they deserve my earnest investment in helping them with those changes. Our work is to understand as much as we can about you so that we can begin to address your questions, relieve some of the suffering, and help you live the life you want for yourself.

I invite you to a safe and held space where transmuting pain and suffering into embodied medicine is the natural human experience. As a relational and earth-conscious therapist, I believe alchemy is human nature. I specialize in guiding people through fear and loss, dissociation, grief, and trauma. My approach is holistic and multidimensional, as I weave ancient philosophies, energetics, and metaphysics with modern quantum, epigenetic, and neurobiological sciences. I believe all ways we have adapted to survive are gifts we can creatively embrace.

As an insight-oriented therapist, I approach therapy with the general goal of helping you better understand yourself, what matters to you, and how you exist in the world. Based on what you want to accomplish, together we can uncover your true self so you can lead a more fulfilling and meaningful life. This process often involves a combination of making sense of earlier experiences, working with ongoing patterns, and re-evaluating future expectations or assumptions. By applying complementary therapy approaches and techniques, we will focus on issues and perceptions that may be holding you back or keeping you stuck.

We all deserve to have our stories witnessed & responded to with empathy & care. This is why I am committed to holding space for those healing from religious harm, processing grief, & individuals who identify as biracial & monoracial Black, Indigenous, and people of color. As a multiracial & relationally based therapist, I recognize that engaging in therapy can be vulnerable if not intimidating & it is important for your full identity to be seen.

Perhaps you have trauma in your past or present. You may be feeling inauthentic in your relationships because you feel disconnected, resentful, and unable to get your needs met. Perhaps you feel like your only source of value is based on what you have to offer others. Maybe you’ve recently suffered a great loss or a difficult transition. Perhaps the ways in which you have previously coped are no longer serving you and you are wondering if there is another way to live. Making the choice to therapy can often feel riddled with unknowns, regardless of where you are in your process, I welcome you!

How can I find a therapist in Northwest, Portland?
Search for nearby therapists or counselors by inputting your city, town, or suburb; or zip code; or a provider’s name into the search bar. From there, you can filter providers by the issues they treat, cost, insurance, gender, and other factors to find providers who are well-suited to your needs. To navigate between locations within the same country, enter a new city or zip code into the search bar.

Is online therapy a good option?
Therapy conducted online can be just as effective as in-person therapy, as long as there is a strong alliance between the client and the therapist. To find a therapist who provides telehealth services to clients in your area, click “Online Therapy” on the directory homepage and search by your city or town or your zip code.
What’s the difference between a psychologist, a therapist, and a counselor?
Therapists, psychologists, and counselors are all licensed mental health professionals. In the US, psychologists have earned a doctoral degree. The terms “therapist” and “counselor” are used somewhat interchangeably, but generally therapists offer longer-term, mental health care, while counselors offer shorter-term care that may focus on one domain, such as marriage, career, or academic challenges.
What type of therapist is right for me?
Clients should consider factors such as insurance coverage and their primary reason(s) for seeking therapy to determine the type of professional best suited to their needs. Someone struggling with mental health challenges such as depression or anxiety, for example, may wish to seek out a clinical psychologist, psychologist or therapist, while someone navigating career obstacles or marital upheaval may benefit from seeing a counselor who can offer short-term, targeted support.
Is everyone in the Psychology Today Therapy Directory a licensed therapist?
The Psychology Today directory lists providers who offer legitimate mental health services to the public, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and counselors. Many have been licensed by the country or state where they practice; providers whose license or primary credential has been verified by Psychology Today are signified by a “Verified” symbol. Some clinicians or organizations provide services for which their state or country does not offer licenses, such as pastoral counseling. They may be selectively included without the “Verified” seal.
What type of therapy is right for me?
The type of therapy best suited to a particular individual depends on several factors, including their primary reason for seeking therapy, their preferred timeline (some therapy types last for a set number of sessions, while others are open-ended), and their personality and preferences—some may prefer a more structured approach. For many individuals, multiple types of therapy could provide a good fit.
Is online therapy cheaper than in-person therapy?
Many therapists charge the same amount for online therapy as they do for in-person therapy—though clients may still find this cost-effective if it cuts down on their transportation costs. Health insurance plans often offer equivalent coverage for online and in-person therapy; indeed, in many places, they are legally required to do so. Text-based or on-demand therapy apps may be cheaper than traditional one-on-one psychotherapy; however, the practice may be less effective and is not likely to be covered by insurance.
