Often this knowledge is lost to the busy-ness of the day. Counseling can help us connect to clues and messages that would otherwise be lost to old patterns of thought and action." ― James Hillman “Despite all you’ve been told, resistance is an everyday act, the work of excavating every tiny act of the oppressor that lives in you.” ―Sonya Renee Taylor

As a result they find themselves "on the outside," feeling unseen, anxious, resentful, and isolated, even with people they love. Whether you're a person of color experiencing a high level of stress and worry or a mother of a Black/BIPOC child, race impacts your day to day. The folks I work with are looking to be understood in their experience. They struggle with questioning if they are the issue or if it's the world around them. They often work and live in high-stress and demanding environments where they are underrepresented. They seek community but they don't have the capacity to find it or know where to look.
