I work with individuals needing help with Anxiety Disorders, Couples Counseling, ADHD and Gifted populations and more. My approach is practical, solutions-focused, highlighting both your strengths and growth areas for more adaptive living. Your treatment will include evidence-based treatments that are efficient and effective, such as: CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), ACT (Acceptance & Commitment Therapy), Exposure Therapy and Biofeedback.

My work is primarily with LGBTQ communities with a specialty in transgender identities. This includes letter writing, supporting individuals, families, and relationships through social, spiritual, medical, and/or the multiple ways one can transition. I also work with LGBTQ individuals and families surrounding day-to-day concerns that may have little to do with their gender and/or sexual orientation. This may include relationship conflict, grief/loss, life transitions, and/or mental health concerns such as anxiety and depression. I currently work with children/teens and adults 10 and up in a private practice setting.

I work with adults and children with trauma, anxiety, depression, PTSD, racial identity, and life transitions. I use a holistic approach to healing using theory based and intuition along with EMDR. I work with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. I understand the Latino culture and beliefs. Understanding these beliefs can be part of the healing process. Healing is a journey which can be achieved with professional help and support. I help my client develop copping skills to reduce stress and achieve their goals.

Jackie makes use of a humanistic and existential approach through a variety of experiential modalities. By creating a safe space for individuals to experience the discomfort of life’s challenges, Jackie supports individuals in developing relationship through trust, empathy, direct and candid inquiry, and down to earth humor. Jackie encourages intuitive exploration through integrating talk therapy with present moment awareness using sound, music, role play and energy work.
