I approach counseling as a facilitator of growth and holistic health. I believe in order for clients to have a strong state of mental health they need to address not only their psychological health, but also their physical and spiritual health. I enjoy working with children, adolescents and adults.

I am humbled on a daily basis by the bravery and strength of my clients. Your health and mental well-being are my highest priority as you begin this journey towards help and healing. I have worked with varied populations throughout Louisiana and Oregon; most often with male & female adults, couples, adolescents, and children ages 7-11. I have addressed multiple varied needs including sexual dysfunction, gang activity, drug use, domestic violence, PTSD, personality, mood disorders as well as relationship issues. **Education: I have a bachelor's degree (4 years) in Psychology (Oregon State University, Corvallis). I also have (one year) education (Holy Cross College, New Orleans, Louisiana) in Marriage and Family Therapy. I acquired a master's degree in Social Work (3 year master's program) from Portland State University in Portland, Oregon.

With the help of mindfulness-based counseling, I can help you heal and thrive again! Some of the issues I can help you with include depression, anxiety, grief and loss, couple's work, co-dependency, historical trauma, Men's Issues, cultural oppression, life purpose/ career , parenting issues, creative blocks, and Climate anxiety and grief.

As a seasoned psychodynamic therapist, I work to facilitate healing and change within a supportive environment. I am insight oriented, relational and interactive in my approach. By tending to the self, within the context of past and present relationships, my clients are able to explore and shift their sense of identity, esteem and life goals. Clearing stress, increasing happiness and life satisfaction are the focus.

The therapeutic experience should encourage one to live a more satisfying and meaningful life. Everyone has a unique journey through this world and the sum of the experiences along the way (good or bad) make us as individual. Sometimes we get lost, hit bumps, or even get overcome with a tidal wave of things that we need help getting back on our path or creating a new one.

I provide holistic psychotherapy to help clients explore, understand and address effects of diverse challenges in life, helping clients become empowered stewards of their own well-being. I integrate common psychotherapy approaches, including cognitive, narrative and expressive-creative therapies, with holistic approaches based in the traditions underlying yoga, Buddhism and other Eastern philosophical practices. My goal is to help clients achieve health, balance and harmony, and to embrace life.

I believe that each person has inherent worth, wisdom and the capacity to develop in ways that can lead toward wholeness and renewed energy for life. My main job is to co-create a therapeutic container where inner and outer healing can take place. I believe that when we attempt to listen to psychological symptoms, instead of ignoring or resisting them, we are more likely to find out what is out of balance and needs further integration in ourselves.
