In the service I was a mechanic on aircraft support equipment and after discharge I worked on airplanes earning my FAA Certification as and Airframe and Powerplants Mechanic. I worked as an airplane mechanic for 6 years and left to be a mechanic on golf courses maintaining the mowers and other equipment. It was during this time I decided to get my education.

Krista has a Master's degree in Social Work from Indiana University in Indianapolis, Indiana. She also has a Bachelor of Arts from Goshen College in Goshen, Indiana. Krista is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since October 2013.
