My greatest professional strength is in building a working relationship with each individual.
I am a therapist who believes strongly in accepting each person as they are but helping them achieve the goals they set for themselves. I work in collaboration with every individual to achieve maximum success. I believe that each and every one of us has special gifts. When we lose sight of our uniqueness is when we have trouble with ourselves and with others. My goal in therapy is to help remind you about your uniqueness.

I help those who are searching for a creative solution to life's challenges, and are open to trying something a little different than your standard talk therapy model. I am open to working with people from all walks of life, who are seeking help with existential issues or times of transformation. For those paying out of pocket, I'm willing to tackle concerns that might not fit the average health insurance's requirement of being diagnosed with a "mental health disorder".

Hi, how are you...really? this question is often asked and not answered openly, how do you respond? Does anyone ask you sincerely? Especially since the pandemic (and before) this topic has been a common theme I hear in talking to people, people like you. My goal is to ask meaningful questions, listen and develop useful techniques with you for more effective coping and communication.

I provide professional counseling online using a tele-med platform to clients 25 and over who are experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship and marital issues and life transitions. It is easy to lose sight of what is vital to your well-being, serenity and happiness - when spending your life energy doing what needs to be done. Sometimes this becomes clear only when you feel you have lost your way, hit a wall, or are suddenly faced with a difficult life transition. This can be a painful, lonely and overwhelming place and it feels like a crisis. In those times, all that is required is to take one small step at a time.

You will gain a better understanding of yourself and how this impacts your relationship in the world around you.
Accepting New Clients. BEING WELL…knowing who you are as an individual. Life brings experiences that are difficult to adjust and live peacefully. It is common to have worries in relationships, work/life balance, stressful experiences, and emotional difficulties, past or current. These worries lead to change in mood, low self-worth, and provoke negative thinking. My approach focuses on walking along beside you and focusing on your individual strengths to move through a difficult time in your life. In addition to walking along beside you, you will gain insight and awareness of your current coping skills.

Couples Counseling Therapists

Does couples counseling work?

Research shows that couples counseling is effective; it can reduce relationship distress and improve emotional awareness, communication, empathy, intimacy, and overall relationship satisfaction. For example, emotionally focused therapy was found to be effective for about 75 percent of couples, and those benefits lasted at least two years.

When should a couple seek counseling?

Couples can benefit from counseling if they consistently struggle in their relationship. They may have lost the ability to communicate effectively, become entrenched in harmful patterns, begun to fight more than usual, broken the other’s trust, suffered from a mental or physical illness, or faced any number of other challenges. Many therapists offer free consultations, so if a couple isn’t sure whether therapy is necessary, asking directly can provide clarity.

How can I get my partner to go to couples therapy?

The decision to seek couples therapy is often driven by one partner, who then convinces the other to participate. When discussing the idea, the initiator should be direct and assertive. They can state the problems they see and explain how the relationship would benefit from therapy. In more serious cases, they can also explain how their relationship may suffer without making any changes or seeking professional help.

How does a couple prepare for couples counseling?

The anticipation of beginning couples counseling can be difficult—sometimes more difficult than the first session itself. Taking a few moments to reflect can allay those concerns: What are the current challenges? When and how did they begin? What do they want the relationship to look like in the future? Reflecting on these questions can help individuals or couples articulate their goals. Of course, the therapist will also ask questions and guide couples through the process.
