One of my goals is to help you identify stuck areas in your life & what might be keeping you there, & to work with you to find ways forward that are in-line with your goals & values. I describe therapy as a team sport. I'm very collaborative & find that we often make the most progress when we both bring our unique strengths into the mix. It is important to me to understand your goals, values, & cultural context, so I can tailor my approach to best align with them.

However, there are a multitude of barriers to this way of living. Trauma, self-doubt, painful relationships, grief, loss, disconnection, and loneliness can leave scars on our hearts and minds that affect our behaviors, our relationships, and how we regard ourselves.

I specialize in a Mindfulness and Somatic/body based modality called Internal Family Systems (IFS). IFS allows us to gently and safely reprocess old wounds, work on what is most important right now in your life, and help you return to your core natural state of connection, purpose and authenticity. It is deeper than traditional 'talk therapy', as it can get to the root of trauma and attachment wounding, often based in childhood difficulties that result in patterns of anxiety, depression, grief, and dissociation.

You wish you could communicate better; feel understood. But, damn, your shit and their shit get in the way. Not to mention the pressures of career, aging parents, or demanding children. You may be feeling proud about your choice to stand up for yourself and seek to improve your life with the help of a professional. You may be feeling and thinking all of those thoughts, and more, all at the same time, or none of them. Whatever your reasons, I welcome them.

Aside from treating common anxiety and depression symptoms, I have over a decade of experience working with eating disorders and trauma. I also have more recent experience working with ADHD symptoms. I am an LGBTQ accomplice and have experience supporting clients in various stages of their queer journey.

Accepting new clients. Human beings are meant to have a natural flow of energy that moves us in the direction of purpose, creativity, expansion, connection, and curiosity. However, when we have unresolved trauma in our bodies, we become disconnected from ourselves, people, and place, reenacting the trauma in ways that keep us disembodied, stuck and small. When our inherent self-worth has been injured, either through individual or intergenerational wounds, it makes it challenging to take risks, speak our truth, feel seen and take up space. Everthing we need to transform is within waiting to be felt, sensed, embodied, and lived.

The world is a confusing place, and it feels as if no matter how hard you try, things just stay overwhelming. Friends and family are starting to worry that the weight of the world might crush you. Relationships are getting harder to maintain or even to get started.
