I have 15+ yrs experience in helping couples overcome conflict, young adults cope with life changes, individuals with anxiety, depression or ADHD , people overcome porn or sex addiction, and all people with sexual functioning concerns.
At some point in our lives, everyone gets stuck in unhealthy patterns of behavior or interactions. At some point we all need help. There comes a time when we all need to look in the mirror and face it, change needs to happen. Thats where I come in. I'm here to help. I have a direct approach to therapy which tends to be supportive and caring yet proactive and goal oriented. This strengths based approach seems to really help people get "unstuck" and allows them to find new ways of approaching their concerns. I enjoy working with and getting to know all types of people. I work with individual adults, couples and families.

Studies have shown neurofeedback to be effective for the following diagnoses: Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, Sleep Disorders, Addictions, ADD / ADHD , Chronic Fatigue, Conduct Disorder and Traumatic Brain Injury.
I am a licensed psychologist who utilizes mindfulness-based therapies in my approach to treatment. I have worked with many patients experiencing varied mental health issues, with specialty in the treatment of depression and other mood disorders, anxiety, eating disorders and sleep disorders. In an effort to improve outcome in treatment, I have added neurofeedback to enhance brain function that may, in turn, improve the underlying disorder. Neurofeedback is a form of biofeedback in which you use in-the-moment feedback from your brain (displayed on a computer monitor) to train your brain to self-regulate. Neurofeedback has been likened to "yoga" for the brain, increasing stability and flexibility of the EEG (brainwaves).

Life can be difficult for anyone. Being neurodivergent brings its own unique challenges. I know, I am autistic and have ADHD . If you’re like me, you may know the high cost of masking or camouflaging, trying to make yourself appear "normal" just to survive. Masking puts us on a path where we risk losing our sense of self. It's exhausting, isn't it? If you are neurodivergent like me, and you feel stuck with no way forward, I can help.

Major Depression, Anxiety, and Trauma: I have worked with individuals who suffer from these Dx, as as well as learning and physical disabilities- ADHD , and/or other academic/learning barriers that get in the way of reaching one's goals.
We all become (at some point) shackled to a stuck version of ourselves. Being vulnerable enough to choose something other than our perfectly practiced persona can seem ~impossible. Is your ~asker too broken to learn another way? It takes courage to recreate, redefine, and let go of what doesn't work! "I Don't Know," become very important words when we choose to sail the rough seas...and yet, the risk can be so beautiful. It becomes excruciatingly clear that the pain of staying where we are, must become more acute than leaping into something wonderfully new!

ADHD Therapists
Some children and adults with ADHD find it difficult to concentrate on tasks at school or work and may daydream frequently. Children with ADHD may become disruptive, defiant, or have trouble getting along with parents, peers, or teachers. Children who struggle with hyperactivity and impulsivity, in particular, often have behavioral challenges that can be difficult for adults to manage. Adults, on the other hand, may be more likely to report feeling restless or fidgety; if they struggle with impulsivity, they may make rash decisions that adversely affect their life. For both children and adults, executive functioning (planning, emotional regulation, and decision-making) is often affected as well. Many children and adults display either hyperactive or inattentive symptoms of ADHD, but it’s also possible for both sets of symptoms to exist together, in what is typically called combined type ADHD.

If you're looking for a Florence ADHD therapist, these professionals provide ADHD therapy and counseling in Florence.
