As a therapist who identifies as queer and transmasculine, my expertise lies in creating a secure and inclusive environment for the LGBTQ+ community. I conduct private online sessions and hold licenses in Washington, Oregon, Georgia, Florida and New York. Specializing in individual telehealth therapy for adults navigating issues such as coming out, social and/or physical transitioning, and mental health management, I approach each situation with compassion. I am attuned to the distinctive challenges faced by the LGBTQ+ community and am committed to fostering a safer world through advocacy and support for all my clients.

I specialize in treating adults struggling with anxiety and trauma. Using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), an evidence-based treatment, we will work to address the underlying processes of psychological pain, including difficulties recognizing or tolerating emotions, low self-confidence and harsh self-criticisms, and fears of making mistakes or upsetting others. This work helps develop a kinder and more affirming way of interacting with yourself, creating the groundwork for effectively pursuing life goals, dreams, and ambitions.

- - - In Person Sessions Available - - - Deciding to go to therapy conjures up every TV or movie depiction of a client and therapist sitting in a dimly lit room while the client talks and talks about their problems. They never show the actual work that is necessary for real change to happen. They just show weekly sessions, and BOOM… an epiphany is made and they’re all better. Sadly, many of us have been in therapy on and off for years, mistakenly thinking that this was all that was necessary. You want more than that.

When we try to control or avoid anxiety, thoughts, memories, and difficult emotions it doesn't work. Troubling thoughts and memories keep intruding, depression worsens, panic attacks happen more, and urges to do troubling compulsions or rituals become stronger. In other situations avoiding and fixing problems is very effective, like fixing a flat tire or leaving town to avoid a hurricane. However, when we try this with our thoughts and feelings we get stuck, feel hopeless, and continue to suffer. This estranges us from the people, places, and activities that we cared about most.
