This means that I value both the therapeutic relationship and the importance of your relationships with others.
I believe that therapy begins with hope. This means that change is possible and you are not stuck. I desire to help you maintain hope and to support the change process. I believe that you are capable, resilient, and worthy. This means that I operate from a strengths-based and solution-focused perspective. While it is helpful to determine the true challenge, we often tend to fixate on problems that we lose sight of the strengths and possible solutions that can help us navigate the that trials life brings. This also means that I desire to understand and connect with you in a way that helps you see yourself as capable and worthy.

In marital therapy, I utilize several therapies depending on the needs of the couple.
I have found that no single therapy works for everyone during my 20 years of treating trauma, depression, anxiety, phobias as well as doing marital therapy. While trained in traditional therapy, I have integrated mind-body therapies where appropriate since research indicates symptoms are stored in the body as well as in the mind. EMDR, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Tappas Accupressure Technique, Advanced Integrative Therapy, Thought Field Therapy, the Emotional Freedom Technique, and Healing from the Body Level Up are a few modalities I use along with cognitive restructuring and psycho-education. I work with each client to determine goals and treatment plans.

They want a therapist who understands complexity and offers patience, grounding, and steady guidance as they sort through the overwhelm. I’m part of a like-minded group practice that prioritizes compassion, collaboration, and creating a safe, steady place for clients to understand their inner world and rebuild trust in themselves at a pace that feels right.

Using play, nature-based, and relational approaches, we help clients build emotional regulation, process trauma, and strengthen relationships- all in a space that is creative, compassionate, and deeply supportive.
Our ideal clients often feel like they don’t quite fit in- like they’re too much, not enough, or just misunderstood. They may be kids with big emotions, teens exploring identity, or adults navigating anxiety, trauma, or disconnection. Many are neurodivergent or highly sensitive. Adults often seek therapy to unlearn shame and move toward self-acceptance. All are seeking safety, understanding, and meaningful connections.

Relationships are of incredible value and we want to help our clients get better at communicating, improve in empathy and compassion for friends and family, and ultimately have healthier relationships with appropriate boundaries that provide safety and give freedom.
We are a Christian counseling group that seeks to provide current and effective psychotherapy services from a Biblical perspective. We are highly trained counselors who all hold personal Christian values and principles, integrating these into each session without judgment or forcing anything on our clients. Rather, we want to provide hope and guidance through the struggles our clients present.

If you’ve experienced deep emotional pain or trauma and feel unseen, unheard, or disconnected, you’re not alone. Many clients I work with are BIPOC individuals or families facing generational trauma, cultural stigma, or limited access to care. You may feel anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck, but also ready to heal and reclaim yourself. If you want more than talk therapy—to deeply understand yourself, reconnect mind, body, and spirit, and break free from old cycles—I’m here to support you on that journey.

Couples Counseling Therapists
Does couples counseling work?
Research shows that couples counseling is effective; it can reduce relationship distress and improve emotional awareness, communication, empathy, intimacy, and overall relationship satisfaction. For example, emotionally focused therapy was found to be effective for about 75 percent of couples, and those benefits lasted at least two years.

When should a couple seek counseling?
Couples can benefit from counseling if they consistently struggle in their relationship. They may have lost the ability to communicate effectively, become entrenched in harmful patterns, begun to fight more than usual, broken the other’s trust, suffered from a mental or physical illness, or faced any number of other challenges. Many therapists offer free consultations, so if a couple isn’t sure whether therapy is necessary, asking directly can provide clarity.

How can I get my partner to go to couples therapy?
The decision to seek couples therapy is often driven by one partner, who then convinces the other to participate. When discussing the idea, the initiator should be direct and assertive. They can state the problems they see and explain how the relationship would benefit from therapy. In more serious cases, they can also explain how their relationship may suffer without making any changes or seeking professional help.

How does a couple prepare for couples counseling?
The anticipation of beginning couples counseling can be difficult—sometimes more difficult than the first session itself. Taking a few moments to reflect can allay those concerns: What are the current challenges? When and how did they begin? What do they want the relationship to look like in the future? Reflecting on these questions can help individuals or couples articulate their goals. Of course, the therapist will also ask questions and guide couples through the process.
