We all find ourselves in dark places at time in our lives. This is a part of life. What is important is that we do not stay living in the dark. Sometimes we need help to break out of the darkness in our lives and minds. Trauma, loss, grief, substance use, and disrupted relationships can all result in finding yourself in a dark place.

I provide therapy sessions both in-person and via telehealth.
I work with individuals who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected, which is often due to past or ongoing trauma. You may be dealing with anxiety, relationship stress, or patterns you can’t seem to change. Many of my clients are thoughtful and motivated for change but unsure how to move forward. Together, we make sense of what’s been weighing on you, build practical tools, and help you feel more grounded, confident, and in control.

I offer therapy in person in Bend and online for Oregon clients, with daytime and limited evening availability.
Hey. I’m Sam. And I want to help. That’s really it. I’ve always been drawn to helping people—my soldiers in the Army, my employees when I owned a business, and even other business owners, including competitors when I was a business advisor. Life is hard and lonely sometimes. If you have things you want to understand, let’s figure them out together. If you want more connection, less shame, or a place to talk about things you’ve never said out loud, we can start there.

I primarily offer therapy sessions in-person and I'm happy to accommodate telehealth video therapy if that works best for your situation!
I am inspired by the natural world and see life as a web of interconnected relationships—from atoms to culture, mind to body, individuals to loved ones to environments and the larger cosmos. My work focuses on how these connections shape well-being and how they can be transformed to support growth. I believe people naturally thrive when offered safety and support. However, early patterns of relating can leave us feeling “stuck” in anxiety, stress, depression, or relationship distress. In therapy, you are the expert of your experience, and all of you is welcome as we work together to create new possibilities for healing and thriving.

Offering teletherapy sessions (online or phone) and in-person.
I am unfortunately at this time on a waiting list. Hi my name is Tania. I offer an alternative approach to psychotherapy moving beyond traditional, diagnosis-focused mental health services. It is about understanding the adaptations you made to feel safe, processing your own story of experiences, discovering new insights, and feeling empowered to design the life you envision. Whether you’ve experienced loss or change suddenly or gradually unfolding over time, it can be deeply distressing. Your expressions of distress, in whatever form they take, are a way of communicating your needs for health and happiness.

Therapy online in CA & OR, and in office in Bend OR for individuals looking to Rebuild Connections, Repair Relationships, and Restore Hope.
Working in schools can leave you feeling burned out, depleted, and full of self-doubt. As a school counselor, social worker, therapist, or educator, you know the strategies—you teach them every day, yet still find yourself running on empty by the end of the year. Too many students, not enough resources, and the constant emotional demand can leave even the most experienced professionals feeling overwhelmed and questioning themselves. You want to feel calm, regulated, and steady, but knowing the skills isn’t translating into how you actually feel day-to-day. You’re ready to feel like yourself again. I want to help you get there.

You can find me in person at the office Mondays through Thursdays from 9am to 5pm.
Many of the clients I work best with have experienced difficult life events, attachment wounds, or significant transitions that have impacted their sense of safety, trust, or self-worth. They are open to approaches such as EMDR, somatic therapies, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and creative expression to help process experiences that words alone cannot fully reach. They are seeking more than symptom relief—they want to understand the root causes of their struggles and create lasting change. They are willing to slow down, become curious about their inner world, and explore the connection between mind, body, and relationships.

Our society teaches us the same general A+B+C equals health. The problem with this is that there is nothing general about you. You are one of one! When we find ourselves getting hammered with some alloy of trauma, torment, anger, hurt, shame, confusion, chaos, depression, anxiety, resentment, etc. We find ourselves pulled in multiple directions at once. At times we can deal with this on our own, others times we need help raising what we cannot yet see within and around us. Life gets hard, and I am here to help. Whether that be with concrete tools, trauma work, inner healing, depth work, finding spiritual strength; hope lives here.

I am passionate about providing evidence-based, speciality mental health care to Central Oregon. Evidence-based treatments are those that have undergone rigorous scientific evaluation. They have been well-studied and require empirical data to support their use. My approach to therapy involves building a strong relationship with the client, and engaging them to take an active role in their own treatment. Treatment goals are decided collaboratively and worked on both in session and between sessions with clear goals in mind. I aim to get you back to the things you love in your life, with minimal interference from symptoms.

In relationships - perceptions, expectations, judgments, & hurt can cause disappointment & resentment, erode trust, impede healthy communication, & ultimately destroy relationships. Through respectful, collaborative, solution-focused conversations, we can improve communication & resolve conflict while making relationships even stronger.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, and worried about your child right now, please know you’re not alone. It is incredibly hard to watch your little one struggle with massive emotions, intense tantrums, or constant defiance. Maybe it feels like you're walking on eggshells, or like your child is carrying a lot of stress in their body and taking it out on the family. You just want to understand what's going on beneath the surface, stop the constant power struggles, and help them feel happier and more settled.

I support my client's in understanding, metabolizing, and compassionately accepting how their mind and body respond to life. I am trained in somatic experiencing, polyvagal theory, IFS, and multicultural counseling, and work from an anti-racist, anti-oppression lens. Often clients come to therapy desiring to fix a part of themselves. I help my clients recognize that there is usually nothing wrong, instead our goal is to practice and internalize their capacity to be with their experience. This allows for the need to control, resist, or distract from our reality to dissolve, which ushers in agency, capability, and play!

I offer sessions both in-person and online.
We develop ways of coping given what we've experienced in life. Sometimes those ways continue to serve us, & sometimes they get in the way- leaving us feeling stuck in relationships, disconnected from ourselves & our bodies, leaving us anxious, overwhelmed, or unsure of what we need. I'll support you in exploring how your unique experiences have shaped the way you move through the world & what your mind & body have learned to do to help you get by. Often, understanding these patterns with compassion creates space for meaningful change.
