I work with individuals ages 10+. My approach to treatment focuses on trauma-informed care (TIC). This approach helps identify and address trauma's impact on the various parts of an individual's life. I value and understand the influence of people's culture on their mental health. It's important to know an individual's home/work environment and support system to develop appropriate and achievable treatment goals.

NEW Changes LLC is a newly created therapy provider. It has one location in De Pere/ Green Bay, WI and a single practitioner, Bobbie Jo Bleser. Ms. Bleser carries WI licensures of LPC and CSAC. Ms. Bleser specializes in DBT, CPT for trauma as well as AODA/ Addiction (substances and behavior/processing addictions such as gambling, sex, and pornography). NEW Changes counseling provides trauma informed and trauma responsive care. Ms Bleser has provided dual diagnostic care for 15 years. Ms Bleser was awarded NAMI Brown County Mental Health provider of the year in 2013.

My outpatient practice specifically centers on patients who have Autism and one or more additional mental health diagnoses. Studies have shown that over 70% of individuals with Autism likely have at least one co-occurring mental health disorder. At times, the combination of Autism + behavior problems + any mental health disorder makes recovery a challenge. It is my hope that providing treatment for my patients and their families which is tailored to their specific diagnoses combination will help provide the knowledge and support needed for success.

I see toddlers (18+ months), children, teens, and adults in sessions as individuals, couples and families for a wide variety of issues. I take a humanistic and behaviorist approach with my clients in therapy.
