As a clinician, an artist and a mother, I feel we are all at our best when we have a space to unpack what's going on for us in our myriad roles in day to day life. I strive to foster a relationship with my clients that is rooted in the idea of acceptance, non-judgment, balance, and presence. My practice is rooted in both theory and play, in evidence-based practice models (CBT, DBT, Mindfulness, humanistic concepts, filial play) and integrative modalities (sand tray, expressive arts, meditation). I believe that though we all benefit from a therapeutic relationship, we arrive at healing from different places and with different tools.

Each individual has such a personal experience in which their life has been based. I evaluate children, teens, & adults with questions of ADHD, autism, learning disabilities, and related emotional dysregulation and problems in functioning. Families can experience major frustration in finding interventions that are individualized to people’s unique needs: going through years of therapy and not feeling any better; getting conflicting feedback from other clinicians; having several diagnoses that don’t seem to align with what you’re going through; treatments that don’t seem to get you to your goals. Having a clear diagnosis is key in establishing a treatment plan and supporting interventions that are a good fit.

As part of that training, I completed a doctoral level internship in clinical child psychology at Primary Children's Hospital. Oppositional Defiance Therapists
All children are oppositional from time to time. But their behavior can become incessantly and openly uncooperative such that it stands out relative to other children. Oppositional Defiant Disorder (or sometimes referred to as "ODD") tends to be evidenced by frequent temper tantrums, excessive arguing with adults, the questioning of rules, active defiance and refusal to comply with adult requests. You may also see deliberate attempts to annoy or upset people, blaming of others, being touchy or easily annoyed by others, frequent anger and resentment, mean and hateful talking when upset, a spiteful attitude and revenge seeking.

These therapists can help with oppositional defiance in Park City or provide counseling for parents handling an oppositional defiant kid in Park City, oppositional defiant teen or oppositional defiant children in Park City.
