I truly enjoy working with my clients on the variety of life's ups and downs. Generally, most of my work is with adults; however, I also see adolescents beginning at 16-years-old. Over the years, I have worked with depression, anxiety, trauma, and some of the more severe mental health problems. My other experience includes working with self-harm and suicidal behaviors, as well as behavior management.

I work with clients struggling with unhealthy coping skills and dysfunctional survival traits as an adaptation to a deeper issue. Those struggling with personality disorders, codependency, trauma, OCD, anxiety, perfectionism and eating disorders are among my areas of expertise. Trauma populations include but are not limited to sexual trauma, military trauma, spiritual trauma, emotional, physical, neglect and abandonment. I also enjoy working with children for a variety of issues including anxiety, adjustment, and behavioral disorders.

I believe one of the bravest things you can do is begin to understand your own story. I want to help you achieve whatever solutions and life changes that you are looking for while enjoying the process as much as possible. Additionally, Dr. Bean specializes in video games, children & adolescents, and the virtual worlds played in. He is considered an expert in this growing field, has been published extensively in the discipline. He works with children, adolescents, and adults who play video games and their families to better understand the immersive effects video games have upon the individual and resulting family dynamics.
