Our practice consists of outpatient clinical therapy for individuals, children, & families. Our experience lies in working with those experiencing trauma, as well as mood disorders, depression, post-traumatic stress, & anxiety disorders. Child & family sessions focus on behavioral issues, ADHD, peer issues, oppositional defiance, & family relational problems. Our main area of practice is to give the client the hope that with the skills taught during session, coupled with the empathy and validation given, they will be able to hold on to the skills and understanding in order to work through the difficulties that may arise, even after therapy has been completed.

Welcome! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Behavioral Specialist. I have over 10 years experience in providing therapy services to clients from early childhood age to adult. I work with individuals, couples and families in reaching their goals and maximizing their unique strengths and potential. I am focused on providing a supportive, safe and comfortable environment to work with my clients in utilizing their strengths in overcoming challenges they may face. My goal is to help you build confidence, develop a better quality of life, and develop strength based, individualized goals and interventions.

Seeking out help can be an overwhelming, difficult process. Having the strength to do so is an admirable step. I believe that the therapeutic journey should be one of a collaborative effort. I’m devoted to creating a safe, nonjudgmental environment where we work together towards your goals and finding some peace in your everyday life.

We are especially skilled at working with those who are uncomfortable with the idea of therapy. Clients have described us as “Therapists for people who don’t like therapy”. We try to understand people on an individual level & adapt our skills to meet their needs. Our goal is to provide a safe, comfortable, & nonjudgmental atmosphere. Therapy should not be simply "learning coping skills", to deal with negative feelings, it should involve working to root of the problem to facilitate long-lasting change.

I take a strength based approach to provide a safe space for you to share your concerns. I have experience working with a wide range of emotional and behavioral disorders including: anxiety, depression, mood disorders, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, trauma, adjustment disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, and family systems.

As a licensed and board certified Art Therapist, as well as Licensed Professional Counselor, I will help guide you and your family through your process of healing using creative approaches tailored to fit your specific needs. I have over 20 years of experience working with Autism, developmental and learning disabilities, and behavioral issues. My other specialties include Anxiety, Oppositional behavior, Reactive Attachment, OCD and Trauma in children, adolescents, and adults.

I have learned through my work with clients that sometimes being willing to take a risk can yield positive results. Finding the willingness to participate in therapy can often feel like taking a risk; however, I am here to provide you with the necessary support you may feel you need as you look to make a positive change in your life. I am confident we can work together to develop a constructive relationship for the purpose of helping you to define and accomplish the goals that you believe are important.

I was born and raised in Pittsburgh. I earned my doctorate at Nova University School of Professional Psychology, my Master's Degree at Duquesne University, and my Bachelor's Degree from Washington and Jefferson College. I completed an APA approved internship at the VA Medical Center in Salem Virginia. My almost thirty years experience is in both inpatient and outpatient psychotherapy, and have worked in private practice since 1985. I have extensive experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. I treat a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, relationship issues, anger management, ADD/ADHD/ODD, loss, behavioral management, and thought disorders.

As a therapist, I like to reach out to those who feel their life is spiraling out of control. My specialty is addressing behaviors, such as ADHD or Conduct Disorder, accepting who you are as an individual, and helping you realize you have the key to change your situation. For those who want to get their emotions under control, perhaps due to bipolar disorder or anxiety disorder, together we will work to get your life moving "straight forward."

Dr. Cydney V. Quinn is a doctoral-level psychologist who conducts neuropsychological and psychological evaluations. Dr. Quinn has over 10 years of experience in the field supporting clients with concerns related to ADHD, specific learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), mood disorders (e.g., bipolar, depression, anxiety), behavioral disorders (e.g., conduct, ODD, DMDD), personality disorders (e.g., borderline, etc), trauma, and other diagnoses such as memory concerns, eating disorders, and OCD. She works with the individuals who are between 2 years and 65 years old
