I am a caring and compassionate therapist who is committed to helping people make needed changes in their lives. Sometimes change is not possible and we need the tools to adapt to those situations that are beyond our control. I have supported many clients in the therapeutic relationship to learn about themselves and to focus and build on the strengths that each person has. I have extensive experience with adolescents and children and i have always worked very closely with parents so that we can all work towards the same goals.

I have been a practicing social worker for many years. I have a great deal of experience working with adolescents and young adults, as well as families and couples. My specialties include issues with substances--use, abuse and dependence--and family problems. I practice solution based treatment and work within various modalities. Hi, I'm Dr. Allegra Borghese. I'm passionate about helping people connect to their innate resources for healing and making meaning. Through a warm and committed therapeutic alliance, I foster awareness and growth in children, adolescents, and adults to overcome life's challenges. In addition to my doctorate from Fordham University, my training includes work in psychiatric hospitals, VA hospitals, addiction and eating disorder facilities, college counseling centers, and communities clinics.

Dr. Kane completed her Clinical Psychology Ph.D at the Derner School of Psychology, with a concentration in child and family studies. Vivan Giang, Noelle Watters, Joshua Glazer, and Meg Kane form the rest of the team, and are supervised by Dr. Kane.
