Alabama Counseling & Consulting Services (ACCS) is founded by Lauren Roberts Jones, MS, LPC. Lauren has a wide range of clinical training and experience working with individuals and families. Her specific areas of interests and expertise include, but are not limited to: relationship/family issues, eating disorders, ADHD, depression, anxiety, oppositional defiant disorder and autism. Therapeutically, she works from an integrative perspective, utilizing a variety of orientations and therapies according to the client's individual needs. We specialize in assisting teens/adolescents and their parents with formulating a therapeutic counseling plan that will address symptoms of emotional and cognitive disorders while providing parents with a plan to advocate for their child.

The focus of our practice, is to assist adults, children, and families with obtaining relatable therapy, to reach goals. We assess situations in your life which contribute to current emotions behaviors and thought patterns. With child and adolescent clients our focus is similar, with the addition of close communication with the family. Moreover, with child and adolescents, we will focus on depression, impulsive behavior, limited attention span, oppositional/defiant behaviors, dishonesty, and social issues in school/home. Family and/or friends are welcome in your sessions for support. We do offer 430p-630p, and weekend appointments.

I am currently accepting new clients through A Beautiful Mindset LLP telehealth therapy only. My hours are 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. Monday-Thursday. I have been working in the mental health field for over ten years. While I mostly work with clients using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, it is also extremely important to me that I take the time to build a strong therapeutic relationship with each of my clients. I work with Children and Adolescents who are struggling with ADHD, depression, anxiety, and deteriorating relationships (family, friends, etc.). I also work with adults who are starting or are in the middle of a major transistion in life, either personally or professionally.

I have worked in the mental health field for 40+ years. During my career I have worked with a variety of patients including adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I have treated trauma exposure, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, mild autism spectrum disorders, attention deficit disorder (and related issues). I have also provided support for individuals in recovery. I believe that by identifying, focusing on, and enhancing clients' strengths, I can assist them in developing additional individualized tools to meet mental health challenges.

Knowing when to ask for help shows courage, strength, and wisdom. Physical and emotional health are tightly intertwined.
