Hello, my name is Opal Carrico and I'm a licensed professional counselor and certified substance abuse counselor. I specialize in helping individuals navigate the challenges of addiction and maintain long-term sobriety. I have an extensive background working with diverse populations, I also have experience working with individuals experiencing depression, and anxiety.
I prefer to use cognitive behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing as my evidence-based practice. I look forward to helping you on your journey of healing. I typically work with clients experiencing addiction, and mental health. I prefer to work with adults and have specialized in helping women with addiction during pregnancy and postpartum.
I prefer my clients to feel like someone is listening to them, my environment is relaxed and nonjudgmental. I approach goal setting with my clients, allowing them to establish what they want to achieve, I prefer person-centered.
