I strongly believe that everyone is unique and everyone’s story is unique; therefore, different approaches are essential in working with a wide variety of people. I am a true believer in the concept of “words shape beliefs” and, in that vein, saying “I do not know” or “please help” are powerful words since vulnerability often leads to growth and healing. One of my favorite quotes is by Viktor Frankl who said "When we are no longer able to change a situation - we are challenged to change ourselves."

I work with highly sensitive, empathic individuals - creatives, therapists, teachers, social activists and healers. If you want to heal family of origin or painful childhood memories OR you seek better communication and coping skills > Let's start! Sessions include safe space, skillful questions, and a CBT approach - along with mindfulness, creativity, and nature-based practices. Each session begins with a short breath practice (optional). I have committed to my own learning/healing and helping others for 25 years. Sessions also include solution-focused steps & homework. I would love to support you in creating a life you love.

Natasha Sanchez, MSW, LIMHP, LICSW, is a community based therapist providing services to those seeking to improve their relationships with others, change or eliminate troubling behaviors and habits, improve their control over mood and anxiety, perform better at school or work, adjust to difficult life events/transitions, and those who simply wish to gain insight into their personal past in order to welcome a bright and more honest future. Welcome! I'm currently accepting clients and enjoy working with children, adolescents, and adults who are experiencing barriers to living the life they want to live. The majority of my work has been with helping preteens and teens navigate that fun (and super awkward) transition between childhood and adulthood, and I specialize in working with those who have experienced trauma, anxiety, low self-esteem, suicidal ideation, and self-harming behaviors. I tailor my approach to your specific needs (and comfort level), but most often draw from EMDR, ACT, DBT, and TF-CBT.

We offer a variety of techniques to guide you into creating a pathway to healing and a direction that feels increasingly aligned with your own sense of inner core purpose. Over the years of counseling others, I have developed a specialty in working with depression, codependency issues, dual diagnosis & survivors of abuse. Since relocating to the area in 1999, I have been focusing on working with individuals, families, couples and groups. I lead two therapeutic support groups for women. (Please review group tabs for details.) I am also a dance/movement therapist offering a creative alternative on the therapeutic path.

My philosophy of healing is like working your way through a set of nesting dolls from the outer doll representing why you want to heal: trauma, attachment/relationship injury, depression, grief, and anxiety. The next doll holds the symptoms, thoughts, and feelings of the first doll. The next doll may may hold your negative beliefs you have perceived about yourself, others, and the world. The next doll may hold consequences and life impairments. The final doll represents your core and authentic self. The person you would be without all of the other dolls in relationship to the unity of mind, soul, heart, body and spirit.
