There are times when everyone needs a listening ear to help guide them through life's challenges. I would be honored to assist you in this process of figuring out how to move through the confusion and frustrations that may be hindering your quality of life. Seeing the glimmer of hope return and the sparkle in ones eyes is my passion. Life can be an incredible journey, sometimes using a different map is the key.

I am currently accepting new clients ages 7 years and up. For many years now, I have been working with survivors of sexual assault, sexual abuse, and domestic violence, and all of the post traumatic symptoms that are experienced in the aftermath of trauma. My hope for your therapeutic process with me is that you experience personal growth and self-compassion, as well as gaining skills to cope with, and manage symptoms of anxiety, depression and other issues that create difficulty in living your best life.

I practice with a brief therapy and solution focused approach that explores your resiliency and promotes self discovery. I am skilled in Solution-Focused, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Conflict Resolution and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I utilize a Motivational Interviewing approach and supportive humor to help you better understand any barriers that might be limiting your desired outcomes.

Therapy is a place for yourself or your loved one to take time to build self-care, self-reflection, insight and skills to manage the symptoms they are experiencing. Many adults and youth experience symptoms of depression, anxiety or are overcoming issues of past trauma that plays in to their ability to go about life. Sometimes relationships, school or work are harder to navigate, build or maintain. Sometimes self-esteem and self-worth can interfere with our abilities to experience healthy relationships whether that is with friends, peers or family members. Coming to therapy can help you build skills to navigate these hardships.

Things beyond our control in life sometimes shake loose issues that we thought we were past. Coping that has worked before, no longer seems to work or is even now getting in our way in our lives. There are sometimes moments where we can't see beyond the here and now which makes us believe that things will always be the way they currently are. These are pivotal life moments that allow us the opportunity to seek a different path. This may be the time to begin to seek guidance or dig deeper into our issues in order to grow.

Maybe you have recently experienced some life changes or maybe the way you typically cope just isn’t cutting it. Some days it may feel like your worries, fears, and self-doubt are completely taking over. No matter how hard you try, you can't seem to shake the "What ifs." You want to get through your day without feeling completely overwhelmed by work, school, or caring for your children. You want to stop that voice in your head that tells you that you’re not doing enough.

We were created for belonging, and each one of us has an innate desire to connect and feel seen. My experience as a therapist allows me to connect with a variety of people from all walks of life, including teenagers, athletes, couples, and families. Whether you’re dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or other concerns, I would be honored to help you. I am a former educator and coach (soccer) specializing in high performance and athletic coaching. I have additional experience working with first responders, collegiate athletes, military and veterans.

I have experience working with children, adolescents, couples, single parents, and the elderly. I also have experience that includes, but is not limited to, grief and loss, domestic violence, substance abuse, and career counseling. I prefer to use the humanistic and strengths-based approach but can change the therapy approach to fit your needs.
