We all have difficult experiences during our lives. These can include loss, grief, change, death of a loved one, illness, and many other situations that disrupt our lives and sense of self. During these challenging times it is important to feel heard and seen. I am here to listen and to help my clients find and nurture their own strengths to manage through and grow from difficult experiences. Change can be sad, scary, and exciting, but it is my goal to help my clients work through all of these feelings.

Therapy offers something unique: a space set aside for the sole purpose of getting to know your life. Many seek therapy out of the desire for change. As hopeless as a life or relationship can feel, the desire for change is enough to begin working towards something new. Therapy can be a great aid in this effort. Your struggles with anxiety, depression, sexuality, relationships, feeling lost and disconnected - are overwhelming to face alone. Through therapy, I believe these struggles can be bridges of connection, to life and those you love.

Hey there, thank you for stopping by my page. Looking at these profiles is a great first or second step on your journey to self-discovery and healing. As a queer therapist, I have helped individuals with anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, severe mental health, and more. People I have worked with have come from various cultural and ethnic backgrounds and have been members of the LGBTQIA+ community, veterans, and neurodiverse. I have helped people move from just surviving to a point where they are thriving in life.

From the outside you’ve got your shit together, but inside you are exhausted. You show up and do what needs to be done to the best of your ability but all while feeling this internal dread you can’t quite shake. You constantly feel like you are having to adjust to fit into everyone else’s expectations of you. No seriously, you probably feel like a chameleon of some sort always changing to fit in. And the higher your stress climbs the more you reach for coping skills that don’t bring you any real sense of relief. You feel like you are going crazy and may have even googled your symptoms to try to figure what’s wrong with you.

I work with individuals and with non-traditional relationships including polyamory, ethical non-monogamy and I have over 20 years of experience serving the QUILTBAG (queer or questioning, undecided, intersex, lesbian, trans, bisexual, asexual or allied, gay or gender diverse). I don't name issues and disorders because labels are important to the people who pay the bills. Help, Support, and Knowledge from a person willing to stand with you when life is becoming hard and solutions aren't easy to see are more important then any diagnostic name or code for what ails you.

I specialize in treating trauma, anxiety, self esteem, SUD, and struggles related to life transitions. I help clients find the solid ground they need to support forward movement and a more positive trajectory. I begin by working with clients in developing a deeper understanding of themselves to arm them with the knowledge necessary to address their problems and make changes necessary to develop more adaptive coping strategies and improve the quality of their lives. I am non-judgmental and work to create a space in which clients can freely explore, uncover, and accept themselves more fully to live fuller, more meaningful lives.

You’ve made it this far which lets me know you are brave and likely ready to make some changes in your life. Together we can explore your emotional needs and overcome barriers that limit your full potential, get in the way of your relationships, or keep you stuck. There are many things we can do on our own, but true self-discovery and positive, enduring change is more likely to occur within the context of a caring and committed therapeutic relationship. Together we can pay close attention to what’s bothering you, and to what you need, so that you can begin to develop a healthier self and more loving, fulfilling relationships.

I work with new mothers who are finding the transition to parenthood a bit more shaky than perhaps was expected. I work especially well with folks who crave to break generational patterns, who yearn to be better parents than the ones who've gone before them, and who are fearful at times that they may not be up to the task. I also enjoy and greatly relate to parents with highly sensitive, colicky, or neurodivergent babies/toddlers. If you want to feel calmer, more connected, more creative, and more alive in your parenting... I would love to help you get there.

We all encounter situations that feel overwhelming and test our coping abilities. I see therapy as a collaborative process that will help you navigate the challenges and transitions that life presents. I offer a safe, supportive environment to talk about issues that can be difficult to discuss elsewhere. Together we will explore how certain thoughts, behavior patterns, and past experiences might be contributing to your difficulties. We will identify your strengths and figure out effective coping strategies to create positive changes in your life. I work with adults, adolescents, and couples.

We are accepting new clients. Hello potential client, you may endure anxiety and/or depression and struggle with confusion as to why and how to get out of it. Your body and mind may be telling you that something is deeply wrong, have tried many different methods to cope, avoid, or logic your way clear of these painful states, desire to feel secure within yourself so you may engage with others and the world authentically, but perhaps it feels like there is a wall between you and what you want.

I believe that often the emotional pain found in our lives can be traced back to relationships and experiences in our past. Too often we are not given the space to acknowledge these hurts and are expected to carry the weight of it alone. I work with individuals across a range of concerns such as anxiety, grief and loss, symptoms of trauma, early childhood traumatic abuse and harm, life transitions, religious harm, family of origin issues; along with those who would like to improve the relationships in their life. I am particularly passionate in exploring the role that early attachment relationships have in how we navigate the world.

Anxiety, stress, and depression; grief and loss; relationship, work, and family issues; a lack of meaning; trauma, fear, and spiritual crises… are sources of our psychological pain as well as symptoms of incipient growth. It's within the struggling and growing that I may be able to help. I've experienced some considerable wounds in my time and have altered my relationship with, and often overcome them. This usually involved periods of deep reflection; changing how I perceived things; and ultimately, a change in myself. Thus, I’m able to relate to others and accompany them on their journeys in a compassionate, healing manner.

In today’s world it can be hard to connect with others or feel a sense of belonging at home, work, or within the general community. In times of disconnect and loneliness it can be tempting to implement poor boundaries in an attempt to keep people close, look for a sense of control through use of substances or disordered eating, or seek refuge away from others through isolation. Let’s work together to rebuild your self-confidence as we explore your values and what you want in life.
