Hi there, I am Vanessa, a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) and certified nutritionist (CN) who works with adult individuals and couples in Washington. I graduated from Bastyr University with a MS in nutrition and a MA in counseling psychology. I utilize an integrative approach and aim to create an honest, open, and supportive environment for us to explore your current concerns and gain a deeper understanding of yourself. My hope is to support you in finding your own personal values and meaning in life, and process hardships you may be facing that challenge your ability to be and feel like your authentic self.

As a holistic practitioner specializing in anxiety and trauma, I bring a unique therapeutic approach that seamlessly blends professional expertise with personal insights. Drawing upon both my extensive professional background and life experiences, I am equipped to address challenges such as trauma, divorce, parenting, loneliness, and unforeseen life events with a compassionate and cutting-edge research-based methodology. Individuals, couples and families are all seen as my ideal client. I typically see clients from the ages of 13 and up, but I do make some exceptions. Clients who are having difficulties with communicating their emotions, identifying their strengths and their core self, or having dysfunctional dyadic or family patterns are clients who I know I can help. Clients coming regularly and genuinely working with me to accomplish the goals we set out at the beginning of therapy are ideal. My goal is to provide support and guide those who are ready to take the journey of a life well lived. I work with adolescents and adults facing an array of concerns including: ADHD, anxiety, chronic illness, communication barriers, compassion fatigue, depression, grief and loss, imposter syndrome, personal goals and development, professional growth, PTSD, racial identity issues, relationship challenges, self-esteem, spirituality/energy and various forms of trauma. You will be the driving force throughout our time together and with commitment and consistency, I believe you will achieve everything you hope and envision for yourself.

I am so excited to provide support and encouragement with you in whatever stage of your life journey you are on. ​As a therapist I work with individuals, couples and families. My specialties consists of clients with child welfare, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, life transitions, trauma whether past or current, life stress, work stress and relationship issues. The population I serve varies from ages 6 up to the geriatric population. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy, “talk therapy”, motivational interviewing, client-centered therapy, solution-focused therapy, strength-based therapy and group therapy.

For the last 14 years I've been working with individuals, couples, and families to help them address the most important issues in their lives. I enjoy helping clients empower themselves by expanding emotional flexibility, building positive communication patterns, and contradicting negative self-concepts and feelings of isolation.
