Mental health is my priority and supporting families is a passion. I am Tracey Johnson-King, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) Resident and Life Coach certified. I started my mental health career in 2012 as a community QMHP. I am a mother of 10 and grandmother of 8. Currently, I am Crisis Clinician who assist those with an immediate need of mental health stabilization. I am a crisis assessor and currently started my own company Fresh Nu Beginnings LLC. We assist those within a crisis and support them within the community to stabilize.

My ideal client is one who wants to building a collaborative relationship that will help to foster change. I believe that most of the work of therapy happens in between sessions, so my clients will benefit if they are willing to practice the things that we agree will be helpful. I am less focused on diagnoses than beliefs, feelings, and behaviors that are amenable to change. I am hoping that my clients have decided that they are willing to be vulnerable at this point in their lives and that they are open to having me participate in their journey toward a more effective life strategy.

My passion is for helping others feel and live their very best. Therapy is a powerful tool to help you begin doing just that; whether you are trying to navigate feelings of depression, grief / loss, or the tumultuous feelings that come with anxiety caused by work or relationship stressors, therapy can help you shift your perspective while developing the skills needed to not only move through challenges, but to begin thriving. I primarily work with adults and adolescents of all backgrounds.

I believe that feeling heard is a crucial step toward mental wellbeing. I prioritize meeting clients where they are and understanding how the world around each person impacts them. This inspires me to create an affirming and encouraging therapeutic environment for clients of any age or background, particularly LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent clients.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience providing psychotherapy to children, families, and adults. We train, monitor, and educate clients on skills development for living independently. We teach clients about their psychotropic medication and ensure medication management. We connect and educate clients to and about community resources. We also demonstrate, train, and model self-advocacy skills to our clients. Our clients may have treatment history that includes substance abuse or doctor's recommendation.

He is a graduate of post doctoral programs in cognitive, psychodrama, metaphysical, gestalt and Hakomi mind/body therapy.
