Anxiety can be paralyzing and debilitating. I specialize in working with college and graduate students as well as all individuals who suffer from depression and anxiety . I use a strength based approach and provide tools and insights to help break unconscious sabotaging patterns that keep you stuck. Life can feel incredibly hard when you are stuck in anxious or negative thought patterns. I can help you get unstuck and feel better. I provide a nurturing and compassionate space to help you regain your sense of self, as well as provide skills to stop negative, debilitating, critical and anxious thoughts.
I have advanced training in couples therapy using Emotionally Focused Therapy (see drsuejohnson.com), that is proven to help couples resolve issues and get back to feelings of love, safety and security. You deserve to feel better! I am here to help!
Parenting can bring overwhelm, loss of sense of self, as well as anxiety, depression, and conflict with your spouse. I have worked with Mary Hartzell (Parenting from the Inside Out) and Harvey Karp (Happiest Baby on the Block) and can you get back on track and enjoy parenthood! I am licensed in California and Virginia and work both remotely and in person.
