Kristin Rasmussen is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with more than 5 years of professional experience working with adults who are struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitional issues, chronic stress, and more. Kristin earned her Master's degree in Social Work from Radford University and employs a range of therapeutic approaches, which are used as appropriate for the best care of her clients.

Are you a woman struggling with anxiety? Do you find yourself having a difficult time coping with everyday life? If so, I get it. Anxiety, and all of its related issues, can be paralyzing. And it can manifest in many forms. For women, we struggle with so many things: comparing ourselves to others, an unhealthy focus on our bodies, striving for perfection(even when we don't expect it in others), and just plain old burn out when it all becomes too much. Alot of us also struggle with past experiences that may have left deep wounds. It can be overwhelming!

I am currently a resident in counseling working towards LPC licensure under supervision. I believe the root of the therapeutic process lies within the relationship not only between the client and their counselor, but the relationship to self. One of my favorite quotes by Yogi Bhajan reads "You are very powerful, provided you know how powerful you are." It is also a passion of mine to guide clients in meaning-making. My passion for meaning-making therapy is well summarized by late psychiatrist and Holocaust survivor Viktor Frankl, "Those who have 'why' to live can bear with almost any 'how'."

Caley Gelsomino is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who specializes in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and grief. Caley completed her Master of Social Work (MSW) at Simmons College. Caley believes that life’s challenges show no bias and that everyone experiences changes and overwhelming emotions. While those differ from person to person, what everyone has in common is that they don’t have to do it alone.

Tara Lineberry is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Virginia and has over 15 years of experience assisting children, adolescents, adults, and couples with mental health, relationship, and trauma concerns. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Human Development/Human Services from Virginia Tech and received her Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California. Tara has experience conducting therapeutic sessions in both the inpatient psychiatric and outpatient mental health settings.

My therapy practice is built upon foundational beliefs about confidentiality, mutual respect, honesty, and transparency; the therapeutic relationship forms a safe environment in which to explore feelings, worries, distress, and decisions about the future. During my career, I have worked with clients who may be dealing with grief and loss, trauma, emotional distress, and illness. I welcome individuals and couples in therapy who may be dealing with interpersonal difficulties or internal distress. I have been involved in the psychology field as a therapist, professor, supervisor and administrator with a primary focus on therapy.

Welcome. I am so excited to offer my innovative version of EMDR which is 86% faster than Standard EMDR protocol while reducing symptoms for my clients by 82-84% with p< .001. Translated, this means that my version, Target 2 Zero, works extremely well. Adverse experiences or the tough stuff of life cause a variety of uncomfortable symptoms including anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder ect. By thinking back through the memory of the adverse or bothersome event and doing a few other things at the same time the memory changes. It decreases in intensity and goes from 1st to third person.

I specialize in assisting adults, 18 to 100+, who are experiencing distress from life situations, transitions, stressors and losses, anxiety, trauma, and depression. I welcome clients who have received mental illness diagnoses. I've been a counselor for almost 10 years, use many therapies, and have specialized training in cognitive theory-based protocols - CBT, DBT, and cognitive processing therapy for PTSD (CPT) - substance overuse, and grief.

Julie Neely is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who has over 15 years of professional experience working with children, teens, and adults in a wide variety of settings, including community mental health and school-based environments. She specializes in treating concerns or conditions related to anxiety, anger, depression, chronic stress, ADHD, women's issues, panic-related problems, and spirituality-based issues. Julie earned her Master of Arts (MA) in Counselor Education at Virginia Tech.

I believe, that most often times, it takes an individual to experience significant pain or dissatisfaction in their life in order for them to pursue counseling and change. I understand that the step to reach out and ask for assistance with life’s issues is a huge step and I do not take that lightly.
