My job is to help you clarify what you want and then to achieve this. We all have a "wise mind" and heart in us. The wise mind can become obscured by stress and circumstance, but this is what you come to therapy to discover. Over the past 16+ years of full-time practice, I have developed a strong commitment to helping adults, children and teens heal from anxiety, depression, grief and trauma. Since completing my formal training in 2008, I settled in Utah, where I have worked extensively with adults suffering from trauma, depression, anxiety and traumatic brain injury (TBI). Regarding my work with children and teens, I have worked extensively with conditions like ADHD, Autism, learning problems, self-harm behaviors, and mood disturbance. A family-based treatment approach is very important, as the whole family needs to be involved.

I work with young adults (ages 18-34) & women in midlife (35-50ish), blending therapeutic approaches including Internal Family Systems (IFS) to explore the complexities of your mental wellness. We'll nurture your holistic well-being – mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually – embracing the entirety of who you are, including your strengths, vulnerabilities, and everything in between. I work with teens and adults who desire change; are struggling with emotional pain, discomfort, or dissatisfaction; or feel a desire for self-exploration and personal growth. Issues may include mental health concerns, trauma, relationship issues, life transitions, grief, or self-esteem and identity. We’ll use both top-down (cognitive) and body-up (experiential) approaches to organize and make sense of what’s happening, and create an integrated and expansive experience of Self so that you can access the inner resources you need to heal, grow and thrive.

I know the hopelessness of what you are going through, because I have been there. I lived with the chains of pornography and sex addiction for many years, before realizing I held the keys to my freedom, they were just locked inside me. Since my transformation, I have committed my practice to helping other men heal from the early attachment wounds of shame, that drive them to seek for love, belonging, and acceptance outside of intimacy and connection with others. My work focuses on getting to the root of the trauma and reprocessing it, utilizing Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR).
