She uses an integrated therapeutic approach with person-centered theory, existential theory, and motivational interviewing (MI) as her foundation while incorporating techniques and strategies from other therapeutic modalities that best fit the client’s needs.

With over 13 years of clinical experience I specialize in several intersectional mental health needs: anxiety, faith transitions, self-esteem, trauma, eating disorders, disordered eating, body image, intuitive eating, ADHD, entrepreneurship, burnout, mindfulness, inner child work, boundaries, perfectionism, sexuality, coming out, emotional regulation, authenticity, & more.

I am passionate about helping individuals, couples and families find their path to discovering better mental health, increased communication skills and sense of wellbeing. My education, training, and experience includes the diagnosis and treatment of the following: ADD, abuse, anxiety, depression, marriage and family development, substance use, addiction, pornography use, cognitive distortions, men’s issues, faith issues and various diagnostic criteria. My interest and experience also includes working with high school students, older adults and the acquired brain injury population.

I enjoy working with people of all ages and life experiences. Humans are pretty awesome in general and I consider it a privilege to be part of your journey as you are figuring out life. I specifically enjoy working with neurodiversity in various facets including ADHD & Autism, managing and living with chronic illness, and grief.

I love working with children, individuals, couples and families that come with a variety of diagnoses and problems. I specialize in working with Anxiety, Attachment, PTSD and trauma. This includes children with Anxiety, Behavior disorders, ADHD and ADD. I have been highly recommended and successful using EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Family Systems Theory and effective Parenting skills. I also use Cognitive Behavior Therapy approaches; teaching effective play therapy and behavior skills that individuals can become proficient and communication skills where each person feels understood and validated.

I believe your treatment needs to be as unique as you are! To guide our work, I use your intuitive sense about what you need from therapy, and an individualized combination of tools that work best for you. The main modalities I use are EMDR, IFS (Internal Family Systems, or 'Parts Work'), art therapy, mindfulness, and somatic tools. I also have additional training working with children, and generally use play therapy and sandtray therapy with them. My trained therapy dog Pippin (hypoallergenic) attends sessions as well! In my spare time you can find me mountain biking, snowboarding, doing yoga, or following creative pursuits.

As a marriage and family therapist, I have successfully helped many individuals (single adults, college students, and adolescents), couples, and families through the difficulties faced with normal family problems, as well as diagnostically challenging issues. I have worked with people who come from all over Utah Valley. I have extensive experience working with adolescents and families.
