I have worked previously as a professional counselor with juvenile incarcerated youth, incarcerated adults, psychiatric patients, as an elementary and secondary school counselor. Prior to my work as a professional counselor, I worked as a special education teacher and coach. I have experience working with young children, adolescents, adults, individuals, couples, families, and groups. I have worked with a diverse clientele on a number of concerns, with specializations in the following areas: anger management, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, life transitions, grief, self-esteem, pre-marital, parenting, divorce, domestic violence, social skills, etc.

Our children cannot always express their thoughts and feelings through words, and this can lead to frustration and confusion for both parent and child. Children express their thoughts and feelings through play and their toys are their words. When we allow children to play alongside therapeutic interventions, children can tell us so much about what is going on in their lives.
