I am a mixed race (black and white) clinician and feel this gives me a unique perspective to mental health. Life can be mentally, emotionally, and physically exhausting. Trauma (racial, religious, or anywhere in between), work stress, marital strife, parenting woes and the like can at times feel magnified and the weight feels heavy, but I see you. Life is full of ups and downs and mental health can keep us feeling great or wanting to crawl into a dark hole. Sometimes we need to vent and have someone quietly listen, feel seen and validated, get practical advice or be taught practical ways to manage our emotions in real time.

The counseling process can feel overwhelming at times. Through providing a safe, empowering, and positive healing environment, my goal is to help guide my clients through the process. I specialized in LGBTQ issues such as gender journeys and sexual identity exploration, domestic violence issues, and working with sexual assault survivors. I can help you to build your toolbox to manage and work through overwhelming emotions and life's traumas and uncertainties.

Group is one of the most powerful tools in helping teens grow and get better alongside other teens. When teens realize they are no longer alone they begin to see there is help and there is hope and want to be a part of a small community with those who understand. Each teen support group is led by a trained therapist with a small group of 4-7 members and ensures positive productive conversation as well as the development of new coping skills. ​​
