Hello and welcome! I'm so glad you've landed on my profile. As a Black queer therapist, I recognize the necessity to provide culturally empowering services. Some of my passions include working with BIPOC, LGBTQ+ folx, neurodivergence, and those looking to process relational trauma. I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families on a number of different presenting concerns. (I am currently taking new clients, however, I have limited availability at this time. Please indicate your preferred meeting time for sessions if you decide to reach out. I will do my best to accommodate you! Thanks!)
I enjoy connecting with clients through humor, spontaneity, and collaboration. I operate from a social-justice-oriented approach and do not see individuals as the problems that bring them to therapy; rather, I see them as whole people. Examining systems of oppression that keep us stuck is a central tenet of my therapy practice.
I integrate the use of somatic practices, imagery, and evocative techniques to create a new experience in our sessions. I have found that through the use of these techniques, clients begin to experience themselves and their problems differently as a result. I'd love to help you generate new meanings about your life experiences!
