I specialize in working with relationship issues, gender and sexuality concerns, anxiety, depression, identity development, academic/career related distress, and eating and body image concerns.
I strive to create a warm and trusting relationship with my clients as a base from which to explore their emotions, thought processes, and relationships that are contributing to their current distress. I then act as a guide in helping clients move toward the change they want to see in their lives. My approach to therapy is relational, integrative, and collaborative. I weave mindfulness and self-compassion into explorations of past and current relationships and the building of new coping skills to help clients better manage their current difficulties and change underlying patterns.

Hi there. First, I'd like to wish you well -- especially as you work with a psychotherapist. In the 10+ years that I've been practicing, I've learned that each person and each relationship is unique, so I've developed a variety of ways to approach psychotherapy and relationship therapy that help individuals to heal and help couples to relate. By working with thoughts and feelings, with mind and with heart, people can move through what is in the way, blocking them from feeling better and being better. I'm absolutely honored to help with that movement.

Our practice is uniquely tailored for individuals and couples dating to marry, married for 3+ years, or those needing to heal from past or current relational trauma. The couples we support usually want peace with their partner and to build a sustaining partnership. To achieve this, we address what's causing trauma and unhealthy distance in their relationship.

I value transparency, collaboration, curiosity, and equity within the therapeutic relationship.
Are you ready to reclaim the power you've lost, connect with your intuition, and accept all parts of yourself lost to high control religion or from important relationships? If so, I am here to support you. I use the wisdom of your body and nervous system to inform my approach. I am deeply committed to creating a safe and inclusive space with you to explore yourself and the pain you carry from previous relationships and experiences. By facilitating connection with your body, I aim to help you tap into your innate capacity for healing and growth by slowing down and tuning in.

I am especially trained to work with clients experiencing eating disorders, trauma/PTSD, depression, anxiety, body image, self-esteem, and family/relationship issues.
Hi and welcome! It's a brave and vulnerable step to consider therapy, so I acknowledge the strength it took you to take this first step to find help. You may be feeling low, burnt out, anxious, traumatized, and in need of a break. While there are no quick fixes in therapy, I have helped many clients build resilience, find peace, and gain strength. Prior to my role as therapist, I worked at an inpatient psychiatric facility and in a DBT IOP, but therapy is my favorite. I value it in my own life, and I put a lot into the work I do with clients.

The best therapy is a playful blend of science and relationship. My approach is transparent and direct, getting to the heart of the matter quickly. I use lots of neuroscience to help educate my clients about why and how we should communicate in relationships. My style is unique because I will use lots of humor to encourage us as we navigate each painful spot in your life. The end goal of my treatment is practical as well as compassionate - helping you become more present with others as well as with yourself. I specialize in working with couples and individuals navigating disconnection, trauma/PTSD, loss/grief, and sexual difficulties. Most couples I work with have at least one of these two goals: communication and connection. They struggle to communicate their thoughts, feelings, and needs honestly and effectively; they struggle to feel deeply seen, supported, and loved within their relationship. Most individuals I work with seek to process traumatic experiences. Typically, past struggles continue to negatively shape present experiences and reduce or distort future hopes and expectations.

The next phases in healing are "stabilization" by attending coaching or therapy, "full disclosure" about the problem, and a shift to couple "relationship repair and recovery".
Transformation: Chaos to Calm for Intimacy Betrayal. This is my newest group for women who are in a state of shock and need to find the way forward. Anger, sadness, confusion, numbness....so many feelings across a short span of time. It's overwhelming and someone needs to throw you a life preserver quickly. I have designed a course that is specifically for women who need coaching to get through this. Day 1 of finding out about infidelity, porn addiction, or sex addiction is commonly called "D" day - short for discovery day. My coaching groups are directed toward those first 60 days- this is "Crisis" phase.

I enjoy working primarily in the areas of depression, anxiety, life transitions, self-esteem, and relationship concerns.
Therapy provides the unique opportunity for you to adventure into and openly investigate your internal world. Emotional transformations can be akin to wading into the ocean or navigating a new trail in the forest. While these pursuits are exciting, they can also be intimidating, challenging, or frustrating at times. I view my role as your co-pilot; helping you to navigate what it is that brings you to therapy with the goal of unleashing your innate strengths and ability to overcome. I do so with a genuine curiosity and openness, integrating my training in mindfulness and Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy.

Pflugerville Counseling Center offers a wide range of counseling services to individuals, families, couples, and children/teens. Though each of us specializes in different areas, we all hold a belief that counseling is most helpful when it is about having a safe relationship to more fully explore, understand, and accept self and the choices we make. We believe that everyone has a story and the more we can own our stories, the more choice and control we have over writing the next chapters. We all love working with the brain/body/relationship connection we all hold within ourselves and between each other.

Each person has a unique story about what's going on and how they got there. What I incorporate into my sessions is authenticity, humor, and a pragmatic approach. I strive to build a solid rapport with each client, as I know that the therapist/client relationship is essential to healing. I use an eclectic approach and I pull from a lot of different modalities when working with clients. What I find is more important than any theory or modality is being there my client in whatever moment they are in.
