I provide education when needed so you can be empowered with knowledge and awareness about how your mind, body, and physical spirit work together.

I specialize in treating adults who have experienced past or recent trauma and are suffering with anxiety, depression, or relationship struggles. Unresolved trauma can show up as substance misuse/abuse, dissociation, isolation, anger, and codependence. Together, we will explore the past events creating current symptoms, so you can begin healing. As we work together, you'll begin to understand your triggers, instinctive defenses, and protective patterns keeping you stuck. As you begin to understand your past, you'll begin healing the symptoms in the present.

Being a responsible adult and managing all the demands of your day to day life can take a toll on your energy and mood. Many of us, even those who “should be OK, and have it all” get by with a bare minimum of reserve and just function or survive. As a biracial Black clinician, I predominately help Christian women of color to heal from family wounds and social trauma, by creating a safe space that allows you to be your genuine self, while feeling heard and validated. I have extensive experience in trauma-informed care which has proven to be helpful for numerous clients over the years who have been facing struggles related to early life trauma.

I'm culturally aware and work well with a variety of people. I especially welcome adult men and women, immigrants, women of color and any people with complex barriers to living the life they want. My ideal client is someone that might carry around a lot of shame, self loathing, professionally successful but struggling with internal disdain. I enjoy working with moms of special needs children to help them find themselves again. Additionally, I enjoy working with single women looking to improve unhealthy relationship patterns and reach their goal of finding a healthy partner.

Neurodiversity-affirming therapy goes beyond just using certain methods in sessions. While, of course, there are interventions tailored for neurodivergent folx. It's really about how therapists see their clients and their experiences. Instead of viewing neurodivergence as a problem to be fixed, this approach sees it as a natural part of how people are different from each other.
