Hi! I'm Megan. I completed my master's degree in Marriage & Family Therapy with a concentration in spiritual formation from Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN. I specialize in Christian counseling for teens and young adults.

I specialize in working with couples and young adults who feel suffocated by anxious thoughts and overwhelmed by emotions. I especially enjoy helping individuals who are developing their racial or ethnic identities as well as interracial or multicultural couples work through the challenges of blending two cultures in marriage. I work with clients in both English and Spanish, helping them gain clarity to confidently live the life they choose. I know from my own path to wellness that my therapy experience has freed me to live with intention. I feel honored to walk alongside others as they move toward self-discovery and acceptance.

I am an LMFT with a specialty in trauma. Trauma has many layers and degrees, and I believe that trauma is completely subjective to the person experiencing it. I particularly enjoy working with first responders, high-conflict couples, and individuals dealing with past trauma. I am a Christian counselor; however, I recognize that everyone's faith journey is different, and I respect that. As an LMFT, I look at all issues from a systems perspective and add that to neuroscience knowledge to help normalize responses. The hope is to identify and change patterns for more effective relationships.

Reaching out takes great courage, especially when someone is seeking guidance. Life has the tendency to cause people to cope in ways that are not necessarily beneficial. They may develop problems like depression or anxiety as a result of stressors. Or, they may turn towards abusing substances as a way to change how they feel. I assist clients dealing with addiction and the related co-occurring issues (anxiety, depression, anger, ADHD/ADD, stress, bipolar, schizo-affective, schizophrenic, etc.). All of my clients have experienced some type of trauma, PTSD, childhood emotional neglect, intergenerational family issues, spiritual emergency / psychosis, etc., and addiction has been the result. Clients who have been impacted are in my estimation actually highly sensitive people and highly spiritual people. I now offer an 11-Session Emotional Integration Training program that teaches you to manage your emotions in a skillful way putting the tools in your hands.

I am licensed in TX and NV. My ideal client would be one that is seeking help in dealing with issues of grief and depression. This client would present with symptoms of depression secondary to a recent loss (usually death of a loved one). The client is provided a safe place to vent their emotions and provided guidance in identifying the stages of grief and loss as well as guidance on how to handle their emotions while still being a productive member of society in their respective stage of life. The client would be open to any advice or skills that I would want to bestow on them, that will help them overcome these issues.
