Painful, overwhelming feelings and relationship stress are difficult to navigate alone and that's why I strive to provide a place where you will feel valued, understood, and supported. I’m committed to helping adolescents and adults feel empowered to face the many challenges life offers. I help people that are struggling with relationships, parenting, grief, and transitions. As well as, providing care for those that are experiencing symptoms of anxiety, depression, and PTSD.

I am passionate about helping adults and children heal from relational trauma and move forward into relational health. I have a specialty in helping women recover from domestic abuse. I also work with children and teenagers who have experienced abuse and trauma or have high anxiety. I have additional training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), TraumaPlay therapy, the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP), Premarital Counseling, and Domestic Abuse Victim Advocacy.

My approach to therapy is rooted in connection and safety. I believe in the importance of the therapeutic relationship for healing and growth, and I strive to create a safe, accepting space for each of my clients. I approach therapy from a trauma-informed, psychodynamic perspective, exploring with clients how past experiences, attachment, and trauma have impacted them. I believe in the importance of acknowledging the whole self in the healing process, and I often incorporate ideas from Somatic Experiencing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, playtherapy/expressive arts, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy into counseling.

A genuine, trusting relationship is the essential basis for psychological healing and growth. Within that framework, we incorporate the tools and strategies for change that seem most suited to each individual's preferences, worldview and primary concerns. We believe in partnering with individuals by combining our training in evidence-based interventions with the strengths and resources they possess to best facilitate change. We believe in addressing all areas of a person's life: emotional, physical, social, and spiritual.

I work with adults who are seeking greater connection to their bodies and innate creativity. Adults seeking personal transformation will develop their intuition and enhance their connection to self and others through dance/movement therapy. Whether someone has never danced before or has a movement background, this work can help heal trauma, addiction, anxiety, depression, and disordered eating. Many clients wonder if this is doable in telehealth, and it is! We also use a great deal of talking, implementing coping skills, optional homework, and EMDR when appropriate.

As a counselor and a fellow human, I have found that deepening our awareness of who we are and the struggles we face, within a supportive, safe relationship can help us navigate life’s obstacles in ways that we did not feel were possible on our own. In time, we learn how to nurture and come home to ourselves. Counseling can be an empowering gift to the self. My therapeutic orientation is trauma, grief, and somatic-informed. I offer creative, mindful, body-centered, and nature-inspired interventions within sessions as ways of tuning into ourselves, understanding our patterns, and cultivating a life we intentionally want to lead.

We all desire - and deserve - to be seen and celebrated for who we are. However, we can often get in our own way, putting heavy burdens and unrealistic expectations on ourselves and believing them to be true and necessary. We convince ourselves that our lives won’t change, that there’s something wrong with us, or that we don’t deserve better. We hide and twist ourselves to please everyone else, we get really good at pretending, or we start doing things that mask our pain, and we lose ourselves, our joy, and our connection to others in the process. I work with teens 16+ and adults of all ages and genders in their journey forward.

I work with neurodivergent teens and adults (Autism and ADHD) as well was a wide range of clients who have experienced trauma, issues in their family dynamic, communication, peer groups, self-esteem, and relationships. I am most passionate about working with individuals as they explore the deep parts of themselves and uncover new insights. Many of my clients work to improve relationships, gain tools and strategies for day to day struggles, and explore, process, and find healing from past traumas and old wounds.

I offer individualized counseling for adults wanting to explore their understanding of themselves and the world around them. It can be scary to pursue the healing of deep wounds; I provide a space for individuals to pursue this with authenticity and confidence. If your hurt is manifesting in problematic beliefs and behaviors, it is time to create a new path and find relief.

I excel at helping my clients achieve deep lasting change. Clients regularly tell me they have never had therapy be so successful before. You are likely angry, numb, depressed, afraid, or simply not sure what is going on with you. I am open, sensitive, and calming while I work to meet you where you are. I provide a safe and non-judgmental environment for you to be yourself and to explore more of who you are. I am eclectic in my approach. My go-to model is one that teaches you how to provide healing to yourself through its meditative qualities. This therapy model is called IFS (Internal Family Systems).
