As a therapist, my goal is to assist you in finding the courage and direction to take the next steps in accomplishing the desired changes you want for your life. Change takes time and can be very difficult, especially without direction or a starting point. My role as your therapist is to assist you in finding a starting place, help you understand where you are on your journey, teach life skills, and encourage you to persevere to achieve the changes you desire in your life, within your family, and/or your relationships with others. I'm also part of All-Terrain Behavior Health Group. If I'm not available, a colleague may be.

I am best at helping people find their purpose, build themselves up from rock bottom, and to help people move from being stuck surviving into someone that is thriving in life's journey. Life circumstances and mental wellness varies when someone walks into my office, but I have witnessed people completely transform. One evidence based and effective approach I use is EMDR in both individual and group settings to move past trauma when feeling stuck in the healing process. When you need emotional healing, I am able to provide direction, understanding, and jump start a person's ability to take on the next life challenge.

I feel a "calling" to help adults and teens through counseling! I offer clients deep compassion, unconditional acceptance, and understanding. Often we believe the worst about ourselves! We lose sight of our own value, our own beauty, and self worth. We become depressed or constantly anxious, feel lost, maybe even broken on the inside. But, counseling can change that! I provide a safe environment that is consistently supportive, empathetic, and empowering! I will help you see yourself anew, grieve your losses, face your fears, and help you locate your deep self and reconnect to your life's purpose. A natural joy will follow!

My intention is to work collaboratively with you to affirm your strengths, identify your challenges, and find ways to support your growth into the unique human being you are created to be. My areas of specialty training are related to developing greater integrity between who we are and how we live our daily lives. One specialty area is the assessment and care of persons who experience gender dysphoria and incongruence. My other specialty is assessing, treating, and accommodating high functioning Autism, especially in girls and women because, due to estrogen, the symptoms appear very differently than in boys & men.

When daily life is increasingly difficult to navigate, we can reach a point where we just stop seeing the joy in things. It can feel like it takes so much effort to complete simple tasks. During these times we may begin to wonder if we will ever feel any better. I'm here to assure you that you are not alone and you are not going to feel this way forever. I have worked in the counseling field for over 20 years, during which time I have helped people of all ages in a variety of settings. I am equipped with clinical experience, education and training to help you experience relief, increased insights, and peace of mind.

It is a privilege to offer support and walk with individuals and families who are affected by the struggles of daily life such as anxiety and depression, or those who have experienced trauma, abuse, or neglect. I enjoy working with individuals with chronic pain or medical conditions, and believe in the importance of collaborative care. I understand the struggles of parenting and balancing family life, and am willing to walk alongside parents who desire stronger family connections. I am passionate about suicide prevention and awareness, and am available to provide presentations in the field of suicide prevention, assessment, and treatment.

Seeking counseling for your child or adolescent can seem overwhelming. Some things are difficult to talk about. I am interested in listening to your child and family carefully and attentively. I will take the time during the first appointment to gain the information to help us determine the best method of therapy (or coaching) together. I am grateful to have received excellent training and experience, and am committed to offering the most appropriate counseling for best results. I offer therapy to individuals, families and couples who are hoping to make positive changes in their lives.
