With over 20 years of experience, I offer children, families, and adults a safe and accepting environment to explore and gain a better understanding of the issues most affecting their lives. Rather than solely focusing on behaviors or symptoms, I work with individuals and families on gaining insight and understanding into the various underlying causes of their thoughts, feelings, and actions. It is only then that meaningful and long-lasting change is possible.

My specialty is individualized counseling based on the personality, needs and goals of my patients. I don't judge. Although I have specialized in trauma treatment over the past few years, I have had the privilege of helping clients with stress and anxiety, depression, grief and loss, self-esteem, relationship problems, and life transitions. My goal is to connect with clients and create a comfortable and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment.

Many of my clients come in to therapy wanting to overcome stress and hard emotions, or break painful patterns in their relationships. I often work with clients who have felt hurt by their relationships due to harsh words, addiction or leaving when they needed them. For many, the first goals involve understanding how others' actions have impacted them, and who they are outside of that impact. My goal is for clients to find clarity and feel empowered to choose for themselves their next step forward.

Welcome. Unfortunately, we are not often taught how to process emotions healthily, nor are we given the skills to help facilitate this. My unique approach includes cognitive-behavioral therapy and providing actionable skills that clients can use right away. Paired with my strength-based expertise in working with teens and adults, I feel I have a unique approach that helps clients identify and build on their strengths, clarify their purpose if so desired, and then work to build a skill set that allows them to handle challenges that come their way. Thus, allowing for reduced stress, improved relationships, and a more fulfilled life.

It impacts our thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and creates the patterns we fall into. It shapes the partners be become and the partners we pick. It becomes a weight we carry into our future.
