Jacki Files is a Licensed Professional Counselor in South Carolina and is a trained EMDR therapist and specializes in treating trauma. She has treated many people who come from an abusive and/or traumatic childhood or an abusive relationship and has helped them find healing. Jacki also has experience with helping people struggling with grief, depression, anxiety, mood dysregulation, schizophrenia, adjustment issues, and those with alcohol and drug addictions. Jacki has lived and worked in Canada, South Korea, China, and Thailand working primarily as a high school art teacher, before getting her MA degree in Mental Health Counseling.

I enjoy working with clients who are struggling with issues that are either acute (recent) or chronic (lifelong). I find that it is particularly important to form a working relationship that will focus on a path of discovery that will begin to identify possible solutions.
