Greetings! My name is Alex. At Providence Wellness, I support people of all ages who struggle with trauma, the education system, parenting, and day to day life in today’s complex society. My therapeutic approach is trauma informed, culturally aware, structured to empower clients, and shift their self-awareness.

I treat clients of all ages, with a variety of problems, from all walks of life. I have helped individuals, families, and couples better understand their feelings, face their fears, find ways to manage their strong emotions, build confidence, learn effective ways to communicate, and find meaning in their lives. I often meet clients when they are experiencing a difficult transition or conflict within the systems that matter most to them: typically family, friends, and self. I also make space for grief and loss, so that the experience is not isolating and intolerable. Through a variety of modalities I focus on the client's voice, experience, and barriers to personal contentment: this enables the client to be an active part of therapy, tapping into skills, solutions, and hope that might be out of reach without support.

Our unique couple-to-couple approach combines Angels’ skills as a Certified Coach (PCC), with those of her husband, Charles Granoff, a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LISCW), and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). Our specialty is multi racial/cultural partnerships. Our professional and personal experience helps us understand you, We meet you where you are as a couple and support your relationship as you transition to where you want to be.

Relationships in Crisis: We Have Several Private Couples/Marriage Workshops & Individual Sessions, in order to Rapidly Accelerate Your Healing & Your Communication Process (Traditional 45 min. session Simply Does Not Work). During these 2 to 4 weeks, we will see both of you Together & Individually, as well as Help each of you Learn the Art of Empathy, Sensitivity & Compassion. These Workshops are Informative & Powerful, in order to Accelerate the Healing Process & Stop any further Damage from Occurring. In Addition, Our Success RATE is 85% of Our Couples that have Successfully Completed Our Couples Workshops or Alcohol Treatment.

I work with children of all ages and adults, individually, and as a family and have experience treating individuals from diverse education, racial, religious and sexual orientation backgrounds. I primarily use evidence-based treatment approaches (e.g., Cognitive Behavioral) tailored to meet your needs and/or those of your family. I treat a broad range of problems, including anxiety, depression, stress management, parenting/child behavior problems, and managing health conditions and healthy lifestyle changes.

Life can be really hard some days but those days do not have to define who we are. Megan earned her Masters in Social Work from Simmons University and her Bachelor's in Psychology from Salve Regina University. Not accepting Medicaid/Medicare at this time.

I'm currently only accepting self-pay clients (not using insurance). How uncomfortable do you have to be to make a change? Sometimes we know we need to make changes, but aren't sure how to, when, or even what needs to change. Sometimes we need an empathetic ear to hear our stories to help us make sense of what we have going on in our lives. I am a LICSW in both RI and MA. My ideal client would be looking for a space where they can grow and be challenged while feeling supported and heard throughout their process. I have worked with children, adolescents, families, couples, and adults with substance use disorders. I have a particular passion for working with couples, Women's/men's issues as well as anyone from the LGBTQ+ community. As a self-identified member of the Queer community, I am passionate about working with this underserved population and creating a safe space where LGBTQ+ people can receive support without having to explain their identity or experience.
