Cumberland Counseling, LLC is a group private practice providing a wide variety of support. We have licensed and advanced associate clinicians who practice in RI, MA, and CT with a focus on Marriage and Family Therapy. Individual treament is available for those suffering with behavioral, emotional or life issues. We will teach you how to utilize techniques in your daily life to acheive mindfulness, strength and positivity. We also strive to bring help to those suffering with sexualilty, cultural, racial or spirituality issues.

At Lotus Healing, we understand that life has many challenges that can sometimes feel overwhelming. Jennifer Torres Perez has experience treating severe complex trauma and is trained in several evidence-based treatments including Family Systems, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Narrative Talk Therapy and Mindfulness. Jennifer practices a client lead approach with an empowerment focused perspective. Her specialties include anxiety, depression, grief, stress, and trauma.

My practice is client-centered and focuses on helping individuals adapt, reflect and cope with struggles in a supportive and safe environment. I work with children of all ages and adults, individually, and as a family and have experience treating individuals from diverse education, racial, religious and sexual orientation backgrounds. I primarily use evidence-based treatment approaches (e.g., Cognitive Behavioral) tailored to meet your needs and/or those of your family. I treat a broad range of problems, including anxiety, depression, stress management, parenting/child behavior problems, and managing health conditions and healthy lifestyle changes.

Why do I need therapy? Therapy is for people who are crazy or out of control! I should be able to do this by myself! Asking or getting help means I'm not capable or strong. People are in therapy "cause they have to be." Couple's therapy is a last resort. Family therapy doesn't work/is not for me. Are any of these questions going through your mind? Is it helpful to know you are not alone? Sometimes, people are apprehensive about engaging in therapy or leery about continuing with therapy. All of the above reactions are understandable considering people's experiences. Licensure supervision/professional consultations offered.
