When human beings experience distress or severe life stressors, it is not unusual for their lives to unravel. My significant desire is creating therapeutic interventions to individuals who have been through a traumatic/stressful experience. I help my clients, who include children, adults, and families, to find healthy visions of themselves and aid their relationships. I know that no single method is the right one for every individual, and so I have experience in a range of modalities including TF-CBT, CBT, Motivational Interviewing.

My goal in working with you is to hear your story, patiently help you make sense of your confusion and pain, help you create unique coping skills, and build a preferred life worth living. Years ago I worked with cancer patients and their families at a Bone Marrow Transplant Unit in South Carolina. Their situations were varied and complex, their physical and emotional pain was deep. As they talked about their pain, hopelessness, worthlessness, loss, anxiety, and uncertainty, together we made sense of their confusion. Likewise, as we work together, I will help you and your challenges in the same caring and skillful way.
