Teletherapy for Pennsylvania

Thank you for visiting my profile. I am passionate about the work I do with individuals and families within the home, school, and community. My counseling approach is educational and supportive. I aim to help young clients and their families utilize their resources and skills to overcome challenges. My goal in therapy is to educate throughout the process of therapy and offer support to overcome obstacles. I aim to teach long-term coping skills, build insight, motivate self-learning, and encourage independence. Thankfully, there are "tools" available to help us redirect our attention, anxieties, and strengths in appropriate ways.

As a licensed clinical social worker with more than 40 years experience of working with families and individuals of all ages, I find that the most effective approach is one that is strengths-based with a strong emphasis on helping clients solve the problems that bring them to me for therapy and also on helping them develop powerful resiliency characteristics that allow for future problem-solving, conflict resolution, goal-attainment, wellness, and life satisfaction. My ideal client is one who likes to learn. Trauma survivors, in particular, do well with this approach.

I am a versatile Therapist interested in supporting adults, parents, couples, children and families. I take an eclectic approach towards identifying and understanding the challenges my clients face to help them gain an improved perspective, develop insights and identify strategies to facilitate the change and growth they seek. We do this through a personal, open, concrete and compassionate dialogue.

I currently work using Teletherapy in PA and FL. 6 children's openings have just become available! I have over 20 years of experience in both Psychotherapy and Board-Certified Music Therapy where I am trained in both Psychotherapeutic and Medical Models. I enjoy working with those individuals ages 2 through end of life. My life’s work as a teacher, medical worker, trainer, clinician and clinical supervisor have prepared me to treat various patients by providing psychotherapy to other professionals such as physicians, attorneys, bankers, front line medical and auxiliary workers. Helping others to heal is my passion.

I enjoy working with children, adolescents, families, and adults (preschool-age 80+). I am fortunate to have helped individuals over the past 20+ years as they strive to overcome life's challenges and access life's joys. While a variety of therapy techniques that I am trained in can be of value, clients and I select the ones that they find to be most helpful to them personally. I primarily see clients who are experiencing depression, anxiety, divorce, school/work and family problems, ADHD, Autism, childhood issues, and processing past traumatic or stressful life events.
