Hello! I'm Gabrielle (she/her). I am a somatic and attachment-based therapist. I offer a collaborative, relational approach that is warm and empathetic as well as direct. My goal is to help you develop a foundation of self-trust, so that you can feel more like yourself, respond adaptively to challenges in your life, and experience greater intimacy and fulfillment in your relationships.

I am a licensed provider with over 22 years of experience. I provide in-person and telehealth with individuals and couples of all ethnicities, genders, and sexual orientations, ranging in age from 18 - 65+. My philosophy stems from a belief that life is an ever-changing process that provides the opportunities for individuals to develop into their own person; however, due to trauma or other painful or problematic issues, we may become stuck. My approach is warm, interactive, collaborative, and individualized drawing on different therapeutic models which may include mindfulness, psychodynamic, EFT, CBT, DBT, and EMDR approaches.

Dr. Irvine specializes in working with children and adolescents, and sees clients ages 5-17 only. She primarily utilizes cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) and play therapy to address a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, ADHD, high-functioning autism, OCD, and emotional/ behavioral difficulties. She has experience working with highly gifted and "twice exceptional" children.

I am open for new clients! Often times when we experience distressing events, trauma or abuse in our relationships (growing up and in adulthood) we can begin to feel isolated and misunderstood. I have over 10 years experience working with individuals and couples. My area of expertise includes working with ethnic and multicultural population and addressing issues related to couples in inter-racial marriages, struggles with cultural assimilation and family relationship dynamics. I speak 5 languages and I am keenly aware of the specific issues faced by Indian-Americans in particular and Asian Americans and Latinos in general, especially with regards to struggles with personal and cultural identity. I offer brief and long term models of therapy. I also provide tele-therapy (online) in addition to face-to-face counseling.
